Andrew Berwick's (!!!!!!)prediction of his media treatment

"However, since I manifest their worst nightmare (systematical and organized executions of multiculturalist traitors), they will probably just give me the full propaganda rape package and propagate the following accusations: pedophile, engaged in incest activities, homosexual, psycho, ADHD, thief, non-educated, inbred, maniac, insane, monster etc. I will be labeled as the biggest (Nazi-)monster ever witnessed since WW2."

He's quite right, this would be pretty typical. Could I add to that? I just think he's got a small cock allied with delusions of grandeur. He certainly seems steered though. Knight's Templar - what a fantasist.

He was a big fan of Dexter too. Being as there will be a knee jerk reaction on guns, will this also apply to positive portrayls of socio/psychopathic behaviour?

The next thing that will happen will be 1 in 10,000 luantics supporting his actions, & this tiny, & non active minority being advanced as the next great threat.

BTW, Norway can actually keep him locked up forever (release is based on the perception of future offending)- which will probably be hell on earth for him, as I'm sure most Norwegian inmates will be only too pleased to physically make his acquaintance.

Thanks for speaking up for the fine people of Norway. I greatly enjoyed my short time residing in Oslo-- even though it was horribly dark in winter.

What did you expect!:biggrin1: It's never 100% dark in June either.

Jon Swaine in The Telegraph said:
Beck, a multimillionaire darling of the Tea Party movement, said on his nationally-syndicated radio show: "There was a shooting at a political camp, which sounds a little like, you know, the Hitler youth. I mean, who does a camp for kids that's all about politics? Disturbing."
Ah, yes, the old fallacy of guilt by association, and indeed the most tired and stale variety of it, the Hitler card, or argumentum ad Nazium. "President Obama has a dog. Well, you know who liked dogs? Hitler!"

It seems that the attacks have had absolutely the opposite effect to that intended. Looks like it'll generate much more support and sympathy for the Labour party, rather than destroying it. Might take a while to recover from the loss of some of their leading youngsters, tho (politically, I mean - not just emotionally). :(

It's also reminded me that, despite the attacks, Norway seems like an amazing place, and I certainly wouldn't say no to living there. :)

It depends - it is really expensive to eat out, or drink any alcohol. £7+ a pint, more I think for a shot of spirits. It's crazy.

I'm not specifically familiar with Norway but I know Iceland well and all the Nordic countries to some extent. They all offer a remarkably cohesive social model with low crime and excellent services. They all seem to have mastered the state/private split.

Coming to terms with their present national grief is a challenge for any society, but Norway is better placed than most. Yesterday's dignified rally in Oslo demonstrates the spirit of the Norwegians.

Much of Breivik's rambling anti-muslim, anti-immigration manifesto sounds eerily familiar.

If he hadn't just gone out and cold-bloodly committed acts of terrorism and murder, his writings would go down quite well with most so-called cultural "conservatives". From what I have read of the document, the foundation of his opinions are not all that unusual these days among right-wing Europeans and American teabaggers.

What was it the lady said? "We want our country back!"? I'm sure Breivek agreed 100%.

Sad but true. Not just in Eurasia, either

it is obvious by now that religious fundamentalism is terrorism. anyone who would kill 93 people in Norway to "purify" it from Islam is truly a fundamentalist crackpot who should never see the light of freedom again.

but all those foreigners were coming to Norway and couldn't use proper Norse grammar!

This is great! We've got irrefutable proof that the LPSG Politics thread has gone full on looney!

What else could chastising people for expecting proper grammar possibly mean?

Seriously Tamati, crap like this is what's wrong with America and partisanship. What we've got is an agreement based on common sense (and bravo to you for utilizing it!), yet sniping still rules the day. Sad stuff.

I think tamati is meaning, is the guy (the murderer) was a fruitloop and that if you looked or spoke to him wrong, not using proper Nordic language, you would end up on the wrong side of a barrel.

Maybe I have it wrong because I've been told my grammar is shit, I seem to get by though :). Yet I can probably do hundreds of things that grammar police can't do, or are not able to do, or would not know where to start. I don't rub their noses in it though :)

I enjoy those that write well, always have, I give myself a hard time because my vocabulary and grammar are not up to scratch at times, I do not use word, maybe I should. It does not cause me any grief to know I'm not perfect, I figured that one out eons ago. :)

sniping? you mean like discrediting/insulting a poster for using poor grammar? dude, check the fucking mirror.

It's clear that we don't hold people to similar standards. Expecting someone to meet a (rather low) level of intellect and calling (in this case) him out when he fails to do so doesn't strike me as malicious.

grammar and intelligence are not mutually exclusive.
many Mensa members speak gibersih, are they idiots?
what would you think of a guy like Stephen Hawking, if you had never heard of him and met him after his battery in his speech/typing PC assistant had died? would you consider him an idiot too?
