It's not concrete proof but Connor's book that he wrote a while back (I think it was called A Work in Progress?) had a part dedicated to friends, family, and to Troye directly. Meanwhile in Blue Neighborhood Troye dedicated his thanks to family, friends back home (I assume meaning Perth) and his "beautiful boyfriend". Honestly seems really odd to not mention someone like Connor who Troye was around all the time during that period unless he was that boyfriend.
