yes swift transportaion. their memphis and millington tn driving schools was raided by 8 different federal agencies. all the drivers who had went there from 2000 to 2007 has lost their license. it has been suspended. we now have to get them renewed or just let them be lost. i will have to take the written test the road test and the skills test. the skills test is strait line backing, off set backing and parallel parking. all with the trl attached.

Okay, now your frantic phone call makes sense. :biggrin1: I had heard this might happen on the trucker forum a few weeks ago but didn't believe they would go through with it. I also forgot that's where you got your CDL. So how long are you stuck at the terminal in WI for? Will your current employer help you to get re-instated? Do you have to pay to take the test again? Cause this is NOT your fault.

Why did the feds raid the company? What are they alleged to have done wrong?

It's bullshit for someone who has over half a million miles to have to get retested again.

Swift Transportation involved in Tennessee CDL testing scandal
The Tennessee Department of Safety has revealed that Swift Transportation was the third party CDL tester whose practices have resulted in an estimated 5,000 CDLs being invalidated from drivers, who must go through retesting..In February 2008, the state-certified CDL testing center at a Swift Trucking facility near Memphis was raided by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, the U.S. Department of Transportation inspector general; Secret Service; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement; U.S. marshals; Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration; and Tennessee Highway Patrol and the Tennessee Department of Safety. Documents were seized, and the investigation reportedly centered on the illegal issuance of CDLs.
The Tennessee Department of Safety office was staffed by Swift employees, who wore Swift uniforms on Swift property at Swift's driving school and terminal near Memphis. The testers were also instructors at the Swift truck driver training school. The implications for safety of members of the public sharing the highways with the improperly tested drivers are obviously troubling.
