I fear that I've developed a penis size comparison addiction It may have started while I was a teenager.
I can't imagine or objectively assume the "average" size after viewing many hundreds over the past 60 years. Proximity to the subject may make a difference in size assessment. Many cocks appear larger the closer they are to me.

Another complication arises while comparing younger cocks to aged, mature cocks. Erectile function comparisons skew my size perceptions. Pubic area grooming also effects my size assessment. During the past few years I've observed many more "old cocks" that appear smaller than I would assume to be "average". Amazingly, I'm surprised by their size once erect.

Bone pressed or nbp? That's the most important question in all these talks. When you can easily have a difference of 1 inch between the two it skews everything unless explicitly stated. With no press, which I'm still not sure where to really start I can get as low as 6. 75. And when I was younger I just measured from where the pubes started and that was 6 inches. So where talking about some huge variances. Which is why again these talks are pointless. I would bet a large sum the average size is "around" 6 inches mbp, mild bone pressed. Maybe 5.75. But so yeah, I agree 5.1 is way too low.

Please note: objectivity vs. subjectivity
I'm merely stating that I haven't had the opportunity to observe in close proximity numerous subjects for comparison purposes.
Visuals of mature cocks are oftentimes obscured by unruly pubic hair growth, and less likely aroused than younger cocks.
Also note, I am almost 70 years old, so I don't observe many youthful cocks nowadays. My recollections from memory about "average cock size" are subjectively skewed. I observe many more mature males' cocks than erect cocks of any age. It is difficult to make any assumptions about a "true average penis size".

Compliments to @BigAl9 ... I'm positive many of us haven't measured as scientifically. I think the main discussion in this thread is an attempt to debunk the theory about a "true average penis size". Do you claim your size to be representative of an "average penis"?

Evidence would indicate that a true, fair sample would include thousands including different ethnic groups and/or nationalities. The measurements would/should be supervised. I am aware that different age groups can also have different measurements. There are so many variables. This contributes to interpretation dificulties.

Well how about trying to take a guess... You seem to have a great ability to estimate since you knew a large amount of your partners were 7 to 8 by visual estimation alone. You should be able to estimate him as well.
