He'll never get a nobel peace prize... no way, no how.

His power in the world extends very poorly... his supporters have been shaking their heads ever since the first Syria strike and his first threatening tweet to North Korea. I don't even think Baron likes his dad anymore...

That recommendation will get thrown straight in the trash

Obama who expanded drone war got it.
The EU who doesn't care for refugees and creates even more by their economical foreign policy (ask the African Union)...

So, why not Trump in cooperation with Kim Jong Un?

No, serious. As long as Trump threatens Venezuela and Iran with military strikes, or even war, Trump doesn't deserve the Nobel Prize.
You also could argue it's Moo Jae-in eho deserves the prize instead of Trump. He acted way more calm and reasonable in the past year.

The reason there is peace in the Korean Peninsula is actually quite chilling. North Korea has used its nuclear program as an extortion racket. As long as it wasn't taken TOO credibly as a threat they could keep it up. What has changed? The Trump unravelling will almost certainly leave President Pence. Bolton plus Pence means Iran gets nuked high probability. If Iran is getting it they would hit NK too. Kim Jong Un has decided this is a possible world. It should scare us all

Yes, but - Seriously what you are saying is correct, and I agree with it, but the folks at the Nobel committee tend to apply peculiar logic to some of their decision making. If something comes from the two Koreas getting together, apparently without any, or much help from the U.S. a case can be made for those guys winning. Trump's role is a bit more problematic. We will see. I'm sure whoever wins, a lot of people will be pissed off.

Only the fringe left could complain about the end of the Korean Conflict and ongoing negotiations between the US and North Korea. There has been more progress under Trump than any other President since WW2

Can you tell me exactly what you mean by ‘the fringe left’?

China played bad cop, Russia played good cop and Trump played the role of worst cop to ever wear a badge.

China and Russia did the heavy lifting here... most likely an assurance that they would have NK's back militarily in case Bolton and Pompeo ever got too frisky.

So ‘the fringe left’ is just some people on LPSG, right?
Apparently so. For one, we're not the "fringe left" or perhaps more accurately, not nearly as "fringe" as the left probably SHOULD be considering the clown show of an "administration" the right has put in office and continue to defend. (Oh wait, I forgot. Didn't Bailey say he didn't even BOTHER to vote?)

What's more, besides a lot of name calling and bluster, I'm still wondering WHAT it is Trump actually did to deserve the SOLE credit for this POSSIBLE peace agreement (lest we forget, this is not the FIRST time we've gotten as close).

Yes, South Korea's president gives Trump credit, but coming from the head of state whose country depended on a massive U.S. military presence ever since the establishment of the DMZ, not surprising.

So if Trump were given credit for the success of this initiative (and maybe he deserves SOME) I would THINK the credit and the prize would have to be shared by the other players INVOLVED.

I don’t see where anyone suggested it is Trump’s fault, and no one suggested the credit belongs to anyone.
Then why did he bring it up saying “ FYI two of the hostages were taken during Trumps Presidency “. What purpose does providing that information?
