So if you’re commenting on stuff like this, you’ll also bring to light the rising left wing violence and killings of Christians by Muslims, yes?

Also, I love how you leave white people, Christians and men out of your equation, the very people targeted by left wing globalists and Muslims. Do you not care about the people who built everything you have today? Do you not care about the majority of the western population? What’s your motive here?

This is such a ridiculously false assertion and so far off the mark that it barely even MERITS a reply.

Anyone who has been paying attention to what I've been writing knows my commentaries are not anti-White, anti-Christian (I happen to be Catholic ... bud), anti-men, nor ANY of that garbage you're insinuating.

And the fact that you'd try to SUGGEST it shows how bereft YOU are of any logical argumentation or defense for that which YOU try to defend. It's just another BULLSHIT right wing version of trying to make us out to be the "haters."

My (OUR) "MOTIVE" here is simply the CONTINUED hope and dream that we, as a society, can aspire to the noblest of sentiments and ideas re. the treatment of PEOPLE - regardless of their race, sexuality, religion, age or origin.

That we, as a PEOPLE should embody diversity, acceptance, compassion, and empathy for those in need, those disparaged, those displaced, discriminated against, demonized and marginalized by ideology that seeks to "OTHER" them.

Basic human DECENCY and CIVIL RIGHTS... That's our "MOTIVE."

Is that SIMPLE ENOUGH for you? BTW, what's YOURS??

GOOD news day:

FBI Arrests Leader Of Right-Wing Anti-Immigrant Militia In New Mexico | HuffPost

"FBI agents arrested a leader of a heavily armed right-wing militia on Saturday in New Mexico just days after the vigilantes posted a video of members “detaining” hundreds of immigrants, many of them children.

Larry Mitchell Hopkins, 69, of the United Constitutional Patriots militia, was arrested on a “federal complaint charging him with being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition,” according to an FBI statement.

“This is a dangerous felon who should not have weapons around children and families,” New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas said in a statement following the arrest. The FBI action “indicates clearly that the rule of law should be in the hands of trained law enforcement officials, not armed vigilantes.”"

... think maybe Trump will PARDON him?

AND:

Michigan city moves to criminalize calling 911 on people of color who are just living their lives

"Sweeping amendments to a 66-year-old human rights ordinance might make Grand Rapids, Mich. the latest city to try to tackle the epidemic of racially-motivated abuses of emergency services. The planned changes “would make it a criminal misdemeanor to racially profile people of color for ‘participating in their lives.’”

In 2018, police across the United States have been urged to investigate black people for doing all kinds of daily, mundane, noncriminal activities.

This year alone [2018], police have been called on African-Americans for:

Operating a lemonade store

Golfing too slowly

Waiting for a friend at Starbucks

Barbecuing at a park

Working out at a gym

Campaigning door to door

Moving into an apartment

Mowing the wrong lawn

Shopping for prom clothes

Napping in a university common room

Asking for directions

Not waving while leaving an Airbnb

Redeeming a coupon

Selling bottled water on a sidewalk

Eating lunch on a college campus

Riding in a car with a white grandmother

Babysitting two white children

Wearing a backpack that brushed against a woman

Working as a home inspector

Working as a firefighter

Helping a homeless man

Delivering newspapers

Swimming in a pool

Shopping while pregnant

Driving with leaves on a car

Trying to cash a paycheck"

Perhaps it’s not a rediclulous false assertion, nor off the mark, if one feels and interprets your posts that way. Similar to how you choose to interpret the posts of others, and spin and run with them (over, and over, and over . . . .).

Also, you habitually use the pronouns “we, “us,” “our.” Most of us here speak for ourselves. Kindly let us know for whom you are speaking? Who are you referencing when you use these pronouns to, presumably, strengthen your position as one of the dominant view or opinion.

Lastly, you claim to be a Catholic. So am I. And on this holiest of Holy Days, I suggest you reflect and respect others here for their differences. Turn the other check, just as Christ did, and move on. That would be a true Catholic.

Happy Easter.

Well, lately the only cheeks the priests have been turning are on alter servers. I don't see much other cheek turning when Catholics and allied Christians are trying to ban abortions, birth control and same sex equity in marriage. Libertarian, they are not.

I didn't say his assertion was a "rediclulous false" one, I said it was a "ridiculously false" one. And as such that's exactly what it was. If one were even remotely familiar with my postings, one MUST know that to characterize them as anti-white, anti-Christian, anti-male is an absolute lie, and probably a deliberate one at that.

As for that of your own, perhaps you'd care to clarify exactly HOW I've misinterpreted YOURS.

And in response to that last bit you wrote, as I've written BEFORE, I believe there is usually a clear distinction between doing the RIGHT thing, and choosing the WRONG thing, i.e. the path of racism, bigotry, and evil policies that do harm to people.

And as I've also stated, I believe MOST know the difference between the two, INCLUDING those who knowingly choose the LATTER.

Not presuming to speak for others, as you suggest, I'm wholly comfortable in being an advocate for the former. I, and I suspect OTHERS here as well, are not bedazzled by the fuzzy logic, "alternate realities" of the "alternate-right" nor bamboozled by the bigoted babblings of the beast and his bewildered sycophants.

Your cynically insincere call to "turn the other cheek" and "move on" is nothing more than an INSULTING suggestion that we IGNORE the hate, the demagoguery, and that we ACCEPT the evil that has taken root among us.

Not a chance in hell, bub.

So, like I said in my previous response, you "have a nice day."

Meh. More false outrage.

No one is suggesting you turn the other cheek and move on, thus ignoring what you view as hate, and that you accept what you see as evil that’s taken root. Honestly, I didn’t think that needed to be explained, but if you didn’t that message, I will take the time to clarify for you to avoid yet more future spin and mis-quotes. What was being suggested was that on Easter (the day of your post), the holiest of Holy Days, that you reflect, and respect others with differing views given your claim of being Catholic. I reposted below so you can review.

Apologies not necessary. But appreciate your wishes for a “nice day.”

You aren't DUE any apologies, bud. I'm still waiting for you to explain how I misrepresented what YOU'VE said.

Bottom line, YOU'VE ignored almost ALL of the TOPICS and issues of concern in THIS thread... either ignored them or lent tacit approval to. Again, where are YOUR condemnations of all the OTHER insensitive and offensive things discussed HEREIN?? On just the stories presented in the last several pages??

NO, instead, you've chosen to carry on your attack upon the MESSENGER. And we both know what that makes you.

Get back to me when you have something of substance to contribute. Until then, "have a nice day."

Meh, no apology for misinterpreting my message? I suppose that truly would have been expecting too much. But certainly an acknowledgement that you misread what I said would have been a nice gesture, especially since you tried to put a spin it (that my call to turn the other cheek was insulting (again, false outrage) as you attempted to imply I suggested you turn a cheek to hate, when I was actually suggesting you reflect and give respect to others’ different views.)? Got it.

And then for the bonus points, you turn this around and assert because your topics are ignored that one therefore lends tacit approval? Whoa boy. That’s a leap. And you feel that there’s been an attack on the MESSENGER (I presume that’s you? I try to avoid speaking in third person narratives)?!?!? So, just so I’m clear, when you are challenged, you view that as an attack? Got it again.

This was fun, bud. But on that note, I am moving on . . .

STILL nothing from you about the actual INCIDENTS posted herein. Still no clarification as to how I misinterpreted you. Shall I post the actual link? Where you said having a black sounding name or wearing a yarmulke might get you that raise?

Though I must say, your proposition that on Easter Sunday, I (and presumably others) should "turn the other cheek" (as you wrote) in giving free rein to hate based actions and sentiment was a conivingly twisted kind of logic I think, even for you. A kind of free day for bigotry I'd presume... a "sympathy for the devil" day... as it were.

Indeed. Maybe I could've even set up a little stand at the mall, giving out free apples. Damn. Wish I'd thought of it earlier.

Alas... maybe next year.

Seriously though, if what you are suggesting is FORGIVENESS for a particularly odious point of view, that indeed is WHOLLY possible. But REPENTANCE usually comes FIRST.

Larry Mitchell Hopkins, Border Militia Leader, Allegedly Said Group Was Training to Assassinate Obama, Clinton

upload_2019-4-23_3-23-28.jpeg

"The border militia leader who was arrested in New Mexico over the weekend on weapons charges allegedly said that his far-right group was training to kill prominent Democratic figures because of their “support of Antifa.”

According to an arrest warrant for Larry Mitchell Hopkins, witnesses told authorities that he’d said the United Constitutional Patriots were training to “assassinate” liberal billionaire George Soros, former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, and former President Barack Obama.

The 69-year-old and his armed militia, which spreads conspiracies and searches for asylum seekers on the border, have been accused of illegally detaining migrants"

Yet another perfect example of the arrogance and sick, twisted rationale of the true bigot, whereby they make those who condemn hate speech, racism, and bigotry out to have "an agenda of hate" while simultaneously invoking Christian references in order to silence their critics and make THEMSELVES out to be the "persecuted ones."

Steve King claims 'better insight' into Jesus' suffering after congressional rebuke - POLITICO

"Rep. Steve King said Tuesday that his recent ostracism by House colleagues for defending white supremacy has made him identify with the tribulations [of] Jesus Christ.

The exchange took place at a town hall event in Iowa during which an attendee stood up to tell the nine-term Republican that in her view, “Christianity is really being persecuted, and it’s starting right here in the United States.”

In his response, King told her that after being formally rebuked by the House and stripped of his committee assignments, he had gleaned insight into what Jesus went through before the crucifixion, referring to his House colleagues as “accusers.”

"... when I had to step down to the floor of the House of Representatives and look up at those 400-and-some accusers — you know, we’ve just passed through Easter and Christ’s Passion — and I have a better insight into what he went through for us, partly because of that experience.”

King continued, saying the experience made him thankful for the fellow Christians in his district and had opened his eyes to how it’s possible to draw biblical parallels to modern-day events.

King was roundly rebuked in January when he asked, in an interview with The New York Times, how terms like “white nationalist” and “white supremacist” became “offensive.”

The congressman has a history of using racist and denigrating rhetoric about minority groups and immigrants, and has amplified the voices of personalities on the right-wing fringe which much of that rhetoric can be traced to."
