The unbridled hate spewing from Trump's MAGAts (checks spelling) has grown from the subliminal to fkng ridiculous:

Extremist groups are causing political refugees to flee... Vermont. With police backing.

There is an op-ed published this morning in USA Today from a man named Michael Shank who is fleeing his land in Vermont as a political refugee.

Shank:

"There’s a movement metastasizing across America. It’s well armed, it’s extreme, and it’s led largely by white men. They’re enraged, they’re feeling entitled, and they’re taking ground wherever it’s given. And while the movement clearly got new wind in its sails under the Trump administration, it’s now self-sustaining. The Jan. 6 insurrection on Capitol Hill was just the tip of this seething iceberg, as last week’s anguished police testimony to Congress made clear. This movement isn’t going away anytime soon.

Armed militias do well here. Not only does Vermont’s Department of Public Safety fail to crack down on armed white extremists, due in part to lax local laws, the State Police discriminate against the people of color running from those very extremists. I’m not making this up. There are countless stories like this. In fact, if you’re a person of color here in Vermont, the bias and discrimination shown by Vermont State Police are pervasive and persistent. This state is not a safe place if you are non-white, unarmed or both."

In the latest fruits of Trump and right winged inspired hate,

Jordan Leahy of Riverview Florida was arrested after throwing up a Nazi salute to a person of color and then assaulting him in a road rage incident. According to local law enforcement, the guy whom Leahy attacked fought back, subduing Leahy until cops arrived.

While In D.C., Patrick Joseph Miller Trebat was arrested for an Aug. 7 assault upon three victims just walking in their own neighborhood, including a gay data scientist of Asian descent.

The assailant reportedly physically attacked the family, yelling racial and anti-LGBTQ+ slurs and telling they they weren't Americans, for which he was charged with one count of felony assault, one count of destruction of property, and two counts of simple assault. The incident report lists the attack as "a suspected hate crime." (Gee, you think???)

And in Northern California a disbarred lawyer was arrested (Aug. 7) and charged with hate crimes walking into a synagogue and making violent anti-Semitic threats, in a year that has seen a rise in anti-Semitic attacks and threats across the U.S.

And then there's Eilleen Cure, an adviser for LPL Financial, who has been fired after she sent a message making clear that she wanted no more Blacks applicants for job interviews. Reportedly she was pissed because they'd sent her a Black job applicant.

MEANWHILE Julie Colley, a Louisiana teacher in the Lafayette Parish School district is reportedly "under investigation" for a Facebook posts where she complained about a back to school giveaway being held in (n-word) ville, which causes ME to wonder, why would a teacher be mad about a school supply giveaway for ANY student?? (sick, eh?)

And all of this (and a lot more I haven't written of... yet) is going on against the backdrop of the right's DETERMINED attempt obscure and whitewash America's history of racism, while on-air pundits like Carlson continue to stoke it ever FURTHER via recent statements like how "non-white people are" (supposedly) "cheering the extinction of white people." (Really?? nahhhh... he's not a BIGOT.)

In Pennsylvania, a school board banned so-called CRT (i.e. teaching about racism in America) by passing a so-called "patriotism amendment" allegedly for the purposes of "promoting Informed, Engaged and Patriotic Citizens" (they say), while an Oregon school district not only called LGBTQ and BLM symbols "divisive" but also banned clothing, flags, etc. that support Pride or BLM.
