I've been speaking out for 'color-blindness' my whole fucking life. Trump gets no credit from me for giving an obviously forced statement.

I didn't say he should, simply that his statement was better than nothing. Maybe some disagree of course.

But how does remaining angry help you or anyone else? Life is short. Why let me or Donald Trump or anyone else ruin a part of it?

I guess I care too much about the society I live in and the people who've already suffered because of what this man we put into office stands for. I guess I care too much because the policies he wants to implement or remove Directly Affect ME.

I guess I just... care. Sucks to be me

Not fair and you know it. Anyone who didn't care wouldn't bother posting here (you) or wouldn't tolerate getting shit on for unpopular posts (me). You can care - a lot - and be passionate about changing society, righting wrongs or both. All without being angry, that just ruins your day.

Life ain't fair sweetie. And we All know it. Except maybe Trump, I think he's barely figuring that one out now..

I don't think everyone who posts here necessarily does so because they care. Some people just like to debate. I'm not trying to speak for them though, only myself.

Did you notice the last part of what I posted? The policies this guy stands behind (or refuses to) affect Me directly, and almost 100% of the time in negative ways. I'd say I have a *little room to be pissed off. It doesn't matter if it 'ruins my day' because the things that are making me so angry in the first place already did a good job of doing that.

ETA: As long as I don't let my anger control my decisions, I'm OK Max. I keep my head level, even though I'm admittedly Angry. That'a the difference between me and the people who did what they did over the weekend. My anger doesn't control me like that. It motivates the fuck outta me though...

I don't feel better. I'm angry as fuck and I'm not going to pretend to not be.

It's not my job to move this conversation towards racial equality. I've stood behind that my entire life, as a bi-racial individual. It's the leaders we've elected into office who have the obligation to LEAD their constituency towards a brighter future. (Of course, as citizens we must do our part to stand up for equality... and I have, and do. I speak up, I vote. I participate as much as I can in my life.)

This 'president' has made it clear to those paying attention where he stands. I've been speaking out for 'color-blindness' my whole fucking life. Trump gets no credit from me for giving an obviously forced statement.

It was clear long ago what kind of president he would be and what kind of people support him. We see in May 2015 Agent Orange had only 5% of the vote.He was an also-ran in the crowded Republican field until he uttered these words:

June 16, 2015

"When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best," he said in the same speech. "They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."
By July 2015 Trump was now we see this:

You don't even need to connect-the-dots. A 4th grader can figure it out.

My anger doesn't control me like that.

Well that's good because - with disturbing regularity - I'm reminded that life is short. I try to laugh at assholes and not get too upset. Helps me to remember that strategy when I see someone dying; they don't hate anyone.

I laugh at the assholes, and get upset. Life is short, but what is it without the contrast of feelings we experience? My anger drives me to Change things for the better. I don't dwell on it.

I don't speak for others. I've known some people at the end of their days too, even though I'm not a doctor. Not everyone lets go of the hate.

Arab Muslims frequently despise Blacks too. Does that make them "White supremacists"?
Don't change the subject. Most Jews in my country are white, see themselves as white, and though the racist ones sometimes equally hate all non-Jews, I'm half Jewish, and my black, Jewish grandma and I have found ourselves no more welcome among them than anyone else, even though she was incredibly devout, and fluent in Hebrew. And you know what? If they use a credit card with me, when I check their ID, they are listed as white. So are Arabs.

Trump Denounces White Supremacists Amid Backlash

Trump called out white supremacists for their role in the deadly events, seeking to counter a backlash against his initial failure to directly hold hate groups accountable. On Monday, he declared racism “evil” and assailed the Ku Klux Klan, neo-Nazis, and other racist organizations for promoting bigotry and violence that led to one death and numerous injuries. Alex Fields Jr., 20, was charged with second-degree murder in the death of Heather Heyer, a paralegal who was protesting against the supremacist groups when she was run down in the street by speeding Dodge Charger.

“In a country where previous presidents have actually had to defeat Nazis, we now have one who cannot even be bothered to f—ing condemn them,” Oliver said Sunday night on his show, “Last Week Tonight.”

“ … It simply doesn’t get easier than disavowing Nazis. It’s as much of a presidential gimme as pardoning a f—ing turkey. It is almost impossible to screw it up. But that’s exactly what happened.”
