This link is what caused my desire to see all the recent links and or posts concerning Trump's mental state.

Evangelicals Tell Trump He Was Chosen by God. Now He Says It Too.

Evangelicals told Trump he was ‘chosen’ by God. Now he says it, too – Alternet.org

Is Trump now the new king of Israel? More importantly, will Trump believe he really is now the King of Israel?

These Very Recent Events Concerning Trump and his mental state:

1. Greenland
2. China's new $75 Billion new tariffs on US exports
3. Trump's Order for All American companies to do business with China
4. That entire Trump Twitter rant that includes item # 3
5. Trump saying "He Has Been Chosen?" His mannerisms indicates a higher power
6. Is Trump Now the King of Israel? So many Internet clips concerning this
7. His endorsement of the horrific treatment of preschool children and up to age 18 at the southern border
8. Anything since from early July on to the present and beyond that is Trump's mental state related

This purpose of this thread is to put all the recent Trump and supporters actions that call into question Trump's mental state in one thread.

If there is already a post with link about Trump's mental state already here in the Politics Forum, please give the thread and post number and information that you believe needs to be here.

Or, repost the link here.

Or, if you remember the post, but have no clue where you read it, then please request that information here. Hopefully someone will know where that link and comments is located.

Or, post a new link concerning Trump's mental state.

This thread is also a clearinghouse for all things concerning Trump's mental state for the past few weeks and also his base reaction such as the recent Hands on Trump scene link listed above.

Consider:

This could become much more serious than it already is. It is so much more serious than any ridiculous policies that his base has asked him to endorse. Those hopefully can be taken care of by sensible people or at least be able to undo some time later.

If Trump's mental state is what I suspect, he could cause a major war either a full scale econmic war bringing ruin to most nations or a hot war that could destroy everyone on the planet.

This Could Become a Grave Situation!

My Comment:

I see more and more evidence that Trump's mind is unstable. He shows more and more of the mental illness that I see in other authoritarian leaders only it seems to me that Trump is getting closer and closer to the Httler model. Trump is not there yet. But it seems to me that Trump is headed down that road where he has some kind of mental illness. He may be in some stage of senility.

There is a mental illness that people can have that they come to believe their mental dreams as being real. It has a name which I can't recall. If someone knows the name of it please post.

I knew of a person with this mental illness. She was a very kind lady. However, often what she thought was happening was no where near reality. She had to be admitted to a mental health facility more than once. She would get better, then sink back into her own little world. Is this happening to Trump?

This is what I see happening to Trump. This began decades ago, but the pressure of being president is causing the symptoms to become much worse. Add that to being in his 70s which often makes this mental illness more chronic.

Trump the King of Israel? Has Trump's mental state become so severe that he now really believes this.

Or

Is he that good at playing the part that his base wants to hear?

This is a critical difference that the leaders in Washington need to find out right now, not weeks from now!

The world could be plunged into a severe economic war that could bring severe ruin to most of the world's economies including those of Europe and North America.

Or,

Worse. a hot war that would destroy most if not all the world.

The stress of the big job on a little man combined with his laundry list of mental illnesses puts the entire planet at grave risk. Yes he's getting much worse as his dementia deepens. We'll all be lucky if we get out alive.

To be fair, I think the whole Greenland case was just a way to cancel his trip to Denmark... maybe he had another golf match that day or simply was tired, but I believe it all was just a big bluff. - and he wasn't the first US president willing to buy Greenland.

Didn't G.W.Bush said he was chosen?

I think Trump has some serious mental problems, but I don't think it has increased.

He is a stable psychopath. ;)

Perhaps Trump did have a bad day or wanted to find a reason to get out of going to Denmark.

This was a state visit to Denmark. To the smaller members of NAto this is much damaging than if it were the UK, France, or Germany. Trump's advisors should know this.

"He is a stable psychopath."

You are not helping to calm the waters among Americans who have any common sense with this diagnosis!;)

This is double or perhaps triple this for the rest of the world. ;););)

Trump apparently initiated the Denmark trip from the start. They were surprised he wanted to come, and tried to accommodate him. It seems Greenland was the entire reason he wanted to go in the first place. It was an impossible deal to everyone except him. His mental problems are getting much worse and there are no grown ups left in the White House to reign him in.

This ends badly.

Link doesn't work, Sargon. They must've changed something since you posted it. Here is the new one:

Trump's week on Twitter: Prolific, horrifying.

"Five days can constitute one ordinary workweek or an eon of chaos. From August 19 to 23, it was enough time for [Individual Numero Uno] to endorse the notion that

  • he’s the king of Israel,
  • throw a tantrum about Greenland not being for sale,
  • accuse Google of rigging the 2016 presidential election against him,
  • [call his Fed Board Chair appointee, Jay Powell, an "enemy" of America.]*
  • get upset at the car industry on behalf of the late Henry Ford, and
  • order American companies to stop doing business in China
in all a very normal week’s worth of being [white house occupant] - from a chief executive who is in no way having a complete breakdown in public."

*my addition to the above text

All in one week in Washington:

It’s no joke, as former vice president Joe Biden would say. In the last week or so, we’ve witnessed President Trump deny there is a threat of recession; blame the Federal Reserve chairman for raising interest rates too high (!); deny, then admit and then finally reject consideration of cuts to either payroll taxes or a capital-gains taxes. We’ve seen him seriously consider “buying” Greenland, then cancel a trip to Denmark and then finally insult Denmark’s female prime minister, Mette Frederiksen, whom Trump characterized as “nasty” (his all-purpose insult to women who won’t do his bidding), and claimed that when she says his idea about purchasing Greenland was “absurd,” she is offending the United States. He’s called Jews disloyal on consecutive days and proclaimed himself the “chosen one” (or should it be “Chosen One”?), though he still insists the trade deficit means China has “sucked” hundreds of billions of dollars out of our economy. He insists that kicking Russia out of the Group of 8 for its invasion of Ukraine was an overreaction by President Barack Obama (I guess that is what he means), and should be reversed.

This is nuts. I don’t mean, nuts like, “Allowing the deficit to expand to a trillion dollars is nuts,” or "pretending personal diplomacy with Kim Jong Un works is nuts.” I mean, in the non-medical sense, he is erratic, narcissistic, unhinged, unable to control his anger, illogical and forgetful. (Remember the rally in New Hampshire at which he appeared to repeat a portion of the speech he gave at the beginning.) He has lost the ability to differentiate himself from the country and his own psychological needs from the country’s interests. To oppose him is to be an “enemy of the people.”

How is it that we're not seeing calls from editorial boards of major papers that this unhinged fool resign? There were calls for Clinton to resign from major papers over a blow job.

A lot of scary information about the mental state of Donald Trump. This must be difficult for the First Lady and the son still in school who needs a dad.

He and the country are clearly in uncharted territory here. I think Melania and son love separate lives as much as possible. We don’t see many family photos of them all together celebrating anything.

I personally don't believe he's more unstable, I think he's been this unstable mentally for years. He is however less filtered since all of the grown ups have left the room and there is no one left to protect him from himself.

True but I think he’s rattled even more now because all the eggs he’s laid are now hatching and let’s just say it ain’t the litter he expected.

Greenland was a strategic provocation.

Think about Trump's tweets/comments everytime before he visits Europe...
He visits the UK and insults May
He visits Germany and threatens Merkel
He visits France and smears over them

It looks like we just saw a variation of this. Maybe people convince him it isn't the best to insult those he will meet soon, considering the trouble with China, that's why he choose a European country that isn't part of G7. Maybe he saw some late night documentary where the mentioned that a previous President tried to buy Greenland and he thought "that fits, this time it's Denmark..." and it worked. He may had to overreact, but at the end he was in the news for 2 days.

You're giving him too much credit. The president of the United States is in the news 24 / 7.

Trump is either descending into madness — or intentionally undermining American national security – Alternet.org

This author is questioning whether Trump is descending into madness
or
Is Trump intentionally undermining American interest.

Democrats and Republicans should work together to find out which it is. If Trump is acting as an agent to harm America, he needs to be impeached and tried and convicted in the Senate and removed from office immediately.

If Trump is indeed no longer able to do the duties of president due to mental issues, the 25th amendment that deals with what to do if the president isn't able to do his duties needs to be enacted.and the vice president assume presidential duties until such time Trump is well enough mentally to perform his presidential duties.

Mike Pence's agenda isn't that much better than Trump's if any at all. However, Pence appears able to carry out the duties of the president from a mental health standpoint.

Removing Trump will not change the Republican agenda. But removing Trump might bring some stability back into the White House.

My point is that removing Trump is not going to change what the Republicans want to do. Impeachment will not give the Democrats control until 2020 and then only if they win.

If it was our brother, father, son, etc who had mental issues, we would want mental evaluations and treatment. One could be a strong supporter of Trump's dream for America and still recognize that Trump mental state makes him unable to do his duties as president if that is indeed the case.

This doesn't have to be political if Trump is not able to do his duties as president.

We as a nation need to rise up to a higher standard: Determine if Trump is an agent of an enemy or if Trump has mental issues. Americans can unite for the betterment of all by sorting this out now, not let it drag our nation down.

It is time for our national leaders to decide if they are committed to preserving and protecting our republic or if they are only concerned about making more money for themselves and their friends.

The future of our nation is at stake.

Joe Walsh announces his primary run against Trump this morning calling him a danger, a baby in the White House ... this should be interesting as admittedly Walsh is one of the people who created Trump and was himself a congressman carried into Washington on the Tea Party Express.
