Is there anyone here that actually thinks either side in Charlottesville was in the right?
The people who got violent? Or the people who peacefully assembled?
It wasn't a cage match with thousands of people punching eachother.
The violent people on both, "sides."
Nah, I said in another thread that in all likelihood the violence was started by certain people on both sides.
Yep, and that is what Trump said and the left and media are freaking out.
It's the Democratic Party, not the "Democrat" Party. That's as stupid as calling the Republican Party the Republic Party. And you're a racist troll.
Oh, bullshit. Trump, in his own inarticulate, undereducated way, is trying to imply there's moral equivalency between the KKK/neo-Nazis and the group that assembled to protest them. That's bullshit. Anyone who thinks there was "two sides" of any sort of equal standing at Charlottesville is racist as fuck. Not just the left. Leadership on the right is freaking out as well. But yes, they're all running around freaking out, distorting what was said, and generally making straight up asses of themselves.
This is one of those cases where Trump's position as an outsider shows its appeal and shows why some people (who aren't themselves supporters of the alt right or neo nazi movements) voted him into office.
The fact of the matter is that a lot of people on both sides attended that rally in Virginia looking for a fight (and got what they came for). It's good to point this out. It's good to discuss this and discuss solutions because it's been a problem at a lot of rallies lately.
Trump lacks a lot of nuance (does he have any at all?), but I think it's a fair statement.
They are not Democratic. Just ask Bernie.

Again, it's the white supremacists who show up in over-compensating military fetish gear. You mean the group that assembled to FIGHT them.

And, I fully support fighting against the Klan.
Well, it was the white supremacist who killed and sent dozens to the hospital, not the other way around. If you are physically fighting protestors except in self defense you are in the BAD group and part of the problem.

White supremacists show up at their rallies in their militia get-up, sporting guns and all their weird fetish gear.
If black men showed up at any sort of rally wearing this sort of stuff, they would be shot 72 times from 12 different angles by the cops. View attachment 801150
Context matters. At walmart? Driving down the street? Sure, life has shown this is a risk.
At a political rally? Nah. Texas is open carry and has a lot of open carry supporters, some of whom are black (I've seen them, and back when there was that mass shooting of police in Dallas one of them was out there). Black men can dress up in the exact same gear for a political rally and I'm 100% confident the police would not shoot them.
Stop saying "both sides were looking for a fight". That's idiotic bullshit, and there's a reason absolutely no one of any intelligence is saying it.
I never said this. Neither did trump. I said that there are people on both sides who were looking for a fight. Are you telling me that liberals are all pacifists? That the people that ran up and punched Richard Spencer in the face were what... right wingers?
You said that Trump had a point in calling out "both sides" in Charlottesville, and that the media and both political parties are overreacting. That, sir, is bullshit. No one said this. It's language that's coming out of your imaaaaaaagination.
No, the white supremacists ARE worse than BLM or the people who showed up to protest at Charlottesville. By saying "both sides had bad guys", you're attempting to normalize the people who carried torches and chanted "blood and soil".
There's a reason almost no one agrees with you. Do you really honk you're so smart that the rest of us just don't get it? You're virtually on your own in your opinion because you are wrong.
