...But, let's try to keep this thread focused on Trump's Cabinet choices, please.

Well... It looks like that's not gonna happen, even though there are something like 15 threads already about the election, rather than Trump's Cabinet choices.

You're absolutely correct. "FUCK OF ASSHOLE" is PRECISELY what's happened this election.
Well, for all you've done for the Democratic Party, you oughta be proud that you have 4 more years to continue what you've been doing the previous decade..

At least I'm not doing what YOU'VE been doing for the last 4 MONTHS and CONTINUE to do ... defending narrow minded, racist, bigoted-ass BULLSHIT.

Congratulations.

^ - More proof that spoiled, lazy Democrats shot themselves in the foot.

"Turns out it's not a Trump insurgency, but a Clinton collapse."

I didn't introduce the off topic commentary, A.B. Like you, I just responded to them.

Not that I expect my own posts to go "viral" here, but, I am a bit disturbed that in this forum, other than worries about his possible Supreme Court nominees, not much attention is being paid to who Trump will be bringing into very powerful government positions.

:(

Well... It looks like that's not gonna happen, even though there are something like 15 threads already about the election, rather than Trump's Cabinet choices.

I sure hope the country as whole doesn't get tunnel vision. Look ,I'm all for not getting hyperbolic of a man who hasn't been inaugurated, but when I see shit like this, Trump Says Any Conflicts Of Interest Were Priced Into Your Vote

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/donald-trump-conflict-of-interest_us_5833b971e4b058ce7aacbb56

I become increasingly skeptical, but not surprised. ActionBuddy unfortunately, your seeing the same food fight here as the media has done a good job on perpetuating.

I personally choose to remain vigilant.

This is intriguing at best. My comment is not about sour grapes over the win/loss. I won't to say to the victor remains the spoils, he won, gets to pick who he wants. It's one thing to offer vague innuendos with no substance.

But come on man, when you project into to, Oh well, I'm the president now bitches, approach, it doesn't exude confidence for those who elected you, before you even take the oath of office.

I mean from having your family intertwined in your meeting with foreign officials as your facing scrutiny for conflicts of interests, doesn't do much for your argument about Pay to play. And that's just the family.

Look it, I'm not like the media picking at everything he does, yet I'm like dude, aren't you going to even pretend to be conciliatory, reach across the isle? but then again, as we understand it, he got elected because he conducts himself like this. Businessmen are supposed to be congratulated & rewarded for the no apologies approach.

I know I'm not supposed to be astonished about his cabinet picks because he told us who he was the whole election. He bragged about rewarding his loyalists, punishing those who opposed him.

So far, we're only witnessing those loyalists being rewarded, and some in his party who opposed him, turncoat, and rush out to kiss the ring, from a self professed egoist who feeds off of this stuff. I don't do reality TV. I'm told all of the described actions are that of the apprentice. I don't know, I've never watched it. Man, wouldn't that be a trip? The presidency played out like reality TV.

^ Unfortunately, that's what it is looking like. And, thanks for bringing the thread back to it's original topic, Trump's choices for the the Cabinet... Let's see if the "food fight" can move back to the tired old pre-election day "food fight" threads, and let this one remain on topic, THE CABINET CHOICES, for even a day!

I am no Donald trump fan,Yet so far it looks like he played this thing out like pro.

I pray I'm wrong, but this looks like the biggest shell game I've seen play publically in quite sometime. The shit you talk on your opponent, you get to do weeks after you win and call it by a different name. And critics are called haters and sore losers.

UH-FUCKING-mazing!!!! He needs to bottle this shit.

This may have a bias tinge, but I think speaks volumes.

And, already were off topic and back to discussing the election and how it was won, when there are 15 threads available to continue that conversation in. This, instead of discussing who Trump is picking to rule the United States!

I'm totally frustrated!... Why can't you people stay on topic in even ONE fucking thread in this forum?

Good night!

Sorry, I sort of did it too, become tangential/go on a tangent. But it's relevant to the topic at hand.

Come on dude, they played that pay for play shit on pretty thick. And the guy hasn't even taken office and look at just the appearance of what's unfolding, to a response of well Oh yeah!!! Well, what about Hillary?? Nice job if you can get it.

Don't get me started on the Politicians make strange bed fellas, Rick Perry ,Ted Cruz/religion has a price, with their dicks out measured looking for a seat at the table of the guy they excoriated months ago claiming he wasn't fit to be president.

Again, nice jobs if you can get them.

NEW YORK —
Former Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown met with President-elect Donald Trump to discuss Brown's interest in becoming the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for the next administration.

Brown first told WCVB that he received a phone call from Trump telling him he was being considered for the cabinet post on Friday.

After Monday's meeting, Brown spoke briefly to reporters waiting in the lobby of Trump Tower in New York City.

"It was great meeting with the President-elect," Brown said. "He's focused. He's got one meeting after another after another. We obviously spoke about my passion and his passion, which are veterans and veterans' issues. Obviously, I think it is the toughest job in the cabinet, to lead the VA. While it has so many angels working there, it has so many great problems as well."

Brown said he expects to hear Trump's decision sometime after Thanksgiving.

My bad, let's bring it back.

This is very personal for me . And for the trump loyalists, this is one area I think his business acumen can actually come into play. a lot of veterans feel the system shouldn't be privatized.

Although, I get the Democrats approach of fix what we have in place, all too often they support unions who keep the corrupt workers in place.

It's gotten a lot better under this past administration, although not advertised. I'm not hopeful about anything Donald trump says. with one exception. I'll reserve comment on Scott Brown for this position. And he better not fuck it up!!!!

I don't think these are so off topic. Because he has actually only appointed one person. I feel the discussion is important.

Moreover, the hypocrisy of the pay of play and business ties is relevant insofar as his cabinet members are going to be filled with the same bullshit / lobbyists he ran against to get elected.
