    Truth seekers
Mainstream media and people who blindly believe it call them "conspiracy theorists" but in recent years and with a coordinated professional approach they seem to be sharing the evidence and information they have discovered with more of the population thanks to the internet.

Although some do present their own theories many are content to expose facts and evidence that are deliberately omitted by the mainstream media.
YouTube and other streaming video sites are full of their homemade clips and video evidence which is quickly uploaded, for example the recent government backed violence against the students in Iran.

Many threads at LPSG touching on subjects challenging the status quo are the most active and polarizing.

    Where do you stand?

Believer, skeptical, don't want to know or if you dare to diss my leader, I'll kill you?

"Truthers" or "truth seekers" is becoming yet another one of those tired buzzwords.
While it's true that we all want to find out the real story behind many things surrounding our nation, I do find that those who are "Truthers" are only after validation for their own beliefs.

During the Bush era it was the 9/11 Truthers. So far during this administration you have the anti-Global Warming people as well as the birthers. Each group, although firmly entrenched on opposite sides of the political spectrum, do share one major thing in common... they don't accept anything else that doesn't align with their pre-determined vision of truth to be factual.

Because of that, you can't even trust a "truther" to tell you what's really going on. I would rather see a coalition for "Common Sensers" be formed. That way we can sit in the middle, look at the lunatics on both ends and collectively tell them that they're all full of it.

I see how once again you only bring up the side that you are opposed to.Doesn't that make you suspect as well? You are seldom in the middle.

Ummmmmmm.... since when are the people who believe 9/11 was an "inside job" the same people who believe Obama is a Socialist Kenyan? I mean, I know they're all crazy but are you even suggesting that these people all have the same political affiliation?

The only thing "left" about me is my stance on Civil Rights & Education. Everything else can go either way. Ironically, once you weed through most of the political mumbo jumbo, the half truths, distorted facts and the over-exaggerated, moralistic cries of phony outrage, you get to the source and it usually turns out that one group of people wants to take SOMETHING away from the other based on some ill-witted belief that they're somehow entitled to it. But yeah, I can see why someone like you would instantly assume I don't have the ability to look at things from the middle. Because you're on the "right", and always think you are.

Do I have to remind you that I've voted Republican before? I already stated this in various threads at leas a few hundred times, yet it amazes me how people seem to forget. So sayeth the penis site's most hated "libtard".

Do I have to remind you that I have voted Democrat before ?? I'm an Independent. I have been since day one. Hell, I liked and voted for Clinton It's not that I'm "right".It's just that I question everything. When you call an American who asks to see their presidents' birth certificate a "birther" you give yourself away. He COULD have said "SEE Now STFU but no, he hid from it.When you think that there is no possible questions about global warming, even though thousands of scientist oppose it ,you give yourself away.Mother Threasa is a fraud, but Al Gore isn't?.Al Gore's father made millions working for Occidental Coal, but that's fine.According to Al,2 miles below the surface of the earth, the temp is 2 million degrees? what a nut job.The surface of the sun is 6 million degrees.
You talk a good game,You can't be in the middle if you don't question both sides.I posted "For your reading Pleasure" Not one response.I think both sides suck. You and Willtom think exactly the same time after time, and I wouldn't say that he was in the middle. P.S.....I thought that Bush sucked.

    Good for you.

You know, I could really make a snide remark right here regarding infancy and whether or not to go potty. But I'll refrain.

    Go on...

Oh, so you took one out of the three bouts of political lunacy I posted and quickly assumed I was either one side or the other? Nice try, Mr. Independent. Your so-called neutrality went down the toilet faster than your attempts to label me.

There's a difference in asking questions when necessary, and doing so in a bout of absolute ignorance. The same way I look at certain people on the left and thought they were complete idiots for saying that 9/11 was an inside job, I also look at people who think Obama is somehow not a US Citizen and think they're equally crazy. Need I remind you that we're supposed to be adults here. There is a certain level of common sense that is supposed to be used by all in these matters. You think our government is so stupid, given the touchy, paranoia feelings surrounding ANYTHING pertaining to ethnicity & nationality, that they would allow someone who wasn't an American citizen to become president? Don't think too hard on that one, OK? It requires you to not look down party lines in order to answer it, and I'm sure you can't (or won't) do it.

Sadly, "truthers" do not use any common sense because they're SO CONVINCED that someone out there wants to take everything from them. Here's an exercise for you to engage in and it's very humbling. Take a look in a mirror once in a while. Look at your bank accounts, your house, your so-called goods. If you honestly think that someone in the White House wants all of THAT, then you're just as cracked in the head as the rest of the truthers, birthers or any of the other conspiracy theorists. Nobody, including myself, has ANYTHING people in government want except your vote. And please, do yourself a favor and not bring up tax dollars. Unless you're making seven figures a year or more, cries about tax dollars are about as disingenuous as your so-called "scrupulous nature" to question everything. So cut the bullshit. Even with your experience, you've yet to display any kind of knowledge to suggest that you know more than anyone else on this board.

And to think... kids look up to adults for inspiration and here we are arguing over stupid shit like birth certificates. As I stated before in a different thread, if I knew "grown ups" would be this stupid I would have told my nieces and nephews to stay at seventeen.

And if you demanded to see something from me, I'd probably not show you either.
Again, who are you? A concerned citizen who demands transparency? Sounds so moralistic and beautifully poetic, doesn't it? Get real... to government you're a nobody until election time, just like everyone else in these so-called birther, 9/11, anti-environmental movements. I could list more but hopefully you get the point. You're never going to see his birth certificate unless someone with proper clout requests it. Doesn't matter if the birther movement quadruples in size. Numbers don't mean shit in this country if there's no real substance behind it.

Apparently you didn't see my arguments with Big Al in his spam thread about Climategate. I never once picked a side on this issue. But I do question the motives of those who are trying SO HARD to debunk scientific theories by trying to drag Al Gore's name in the mud. The only thing that discredits science, is other science. Not a bunch of lazy-ass, lunatic fringers who don't want to heed to simple advice to better their own lives.

I never said Mother Theresa was a fraud. Then again, I wouldn't be so dense to even compare faith based matters with ones that are scientific. Beyond that, given the tone of this discussion so far you probably don't want to see my thoughts on organized religion.

Roughly translated: You're just jealous that you didn't think of it first.
Really, millions? That's all? Powerball in New York City gets that high on a regular basis. Adam Lambert got that in endorsements for simulating gay sex on a public stage. You need a better fringe argument than this.

So sayeth the man still looking for a Kenyan birth certificate. I'd rather use textbooks to validate things: Temperature on the Surface of the Sun

It's pretty apparent Al Gore made a verbal gaffe and everyone does it. That doesn't mean conspiracy or scam, nor does it discredit decades of scientific research. Besides, you said the surface of the sun is 6 million degrees. According to the website I linked to, the surface of the sun (aka the photosphere) ranges from 5,500 to 6,000 degrees Celsius. That's only 10,832 degrees Fahrenheit, Einstein.

Get the box of Rice-A-Roni ready and cue those horns... you just overbid on your showcase. I guess you have more in common with Al Gore than you thought.

I can, and I have. The problem is, I'm not asking the same questions YOU are and because of this, fueled by your own convoluted beliefs on what an "independent" is, you're now trying to challenge me for my beliefs in some desperate attempt to further separate yourself from those that you don't agree with. Who I am and what i choose to call myself does not require passing your pathetic litmus test. How self centered and narcissistic of you to even THINK that you're the benchmark of what an independent thinks like? That goes a LOT further than just a voting record and deeply rooted paranoia that you mistake for everyday curiosity.

I guess you also didn't read in one of his particular threads about gay rights and assimilation where I actually disagreed with him? Nah, you're too busy thinking in binary to ever see that.

Me too... but at least I was willing to let him fuck up for 6 years before i came to that conclusion. Unlike certain people who were predicting doom and despair with our current administration in less than 6 months all because Obama bowed to a Saudi.

Is this a rhetorical question or should I just be downright rude and point out the obvious?

Don't cry... I know it's upsetting to be put in your place.
I don't whine about things that benefit only the rich. I just get a little put off when THEY can't take care of their own responsibilities then blame the less fortunate for their own fuck-ups. Ironically, if anyone's whining right now, it's YOU. Or did you forget about how you hated the fact Gore's father is making millions on causes you don't believe in?

Excuse me? Who came after whom in this thread, bitch?
I made a simple comment about how I don't like conspiracy theorists on both sides of the fence, and how I tried to view arguments down the middle even though I lean to the left on Civil Rights & Education issues. You tried to single me out with your, "I'm an independent so I'm right and you're wrong! You're just a dirty lib so you should shut up" bullshit and expected me to just be quiet about it. This is the second time you've come at me with this nonsense, and you should have learned the last time that I don't take too kindly to it.

Things didn't go to your plan and now you're assed out. You tried to play the big guy at my expense, and this "pussy" put you in your place. Surely you must've know that even a feline has claws? Or were you thinking you could just fuck with me like a dick and walk away with your head up high like you did something?

Never once did I claim that I knew it all. All I do is type with passion and conviction... with the occasional, metaphorical integrity of a drag queen hosting a Best Ass contest. It's a deadly combination that allows me to be as campy or as bitchy as I'd like but still make a point, and I couldn't even give a damn if you liked it or not so feel free to be as fuckin' sick of it as you want.

That's funny... none of my teachers told me that the surface of the sun was 6 million degrees. Plus, I thought I was a "fucking pussy" before, so what is this shit about balls now? Did you intend to get into this forum argument, or were you sidetracked in your search for a hermaphrodite? Get your insults in order, Beetle Bailey.

Thank you, once again, for further demonstrating your paranoia. A word to the wise, Wilbur... not even the terrorists want what you got. You can stop digging the fox holes around your house, Private Snafu.

For now, of course... because nut cases like you are never "done", much to the chagrin of the rest of us. You know where the ignore button is, right? USE IT.

    Stay classy, OK?

So it seems that you are anything but a believer!
Which news and information source do you trust most to create your own vision of the truth?

Any story I see reported on any of the networks that interests me, I check on my own using the internet as well. We all accept the fact that MSNBC, CNN, HLN, Fox, or practically every news source is "slanted" to some degree so you really can't rely on just one to give you the full story. The more information you obtain, the more you can be informed to make your own decision.

As for me not believing... it's not that I don't want to find a news source or a person who is completely honest and truthful. But I especially get suspicious of anyone who claims to be telling "the truth" as if they have done all the research, considered all of the information out there and deliberated over it themselves. Besides, why would they be doing such a thing just to tell you about it? Even if what they say does have validity with some people, their motives are not always as noble as the so-called message they want to convey.
