Maybe all was not as it seems?
I've had guys approach me this way offering diamonds
and jewelry and apts. I never felt like I was owned and once I got to know "Tex" better I found out this was just his unclassy way of approaching women. He was a professional gambler and a jewel thief, altogether a very interesting guy. I stayed with him off and on for twenty some years.
Sometimes guys just don't know how to act in socially acceptable ways.
No big for me, I'm happy to show them how to do things "My way"!!
I'm not offended by a man offering to pay me to go to the track, bring a girlfriend to keep myself company while he pays for my night off $150.00,gives us money to gamble $400.00 total, and pays for dinner plus drinks $200.00.
I always found this to be a great way to spend the evening.
Best of all the only thing Bobby asked of me was not to ask him for tips on the dogs! No sex required, he was a really nice guy.
Just my view and experiences with two men I know.
Sorry it went badly for you D.F.
