Actually they got it only partly correct. It's really a "gay-pinko-Commie-leftist-socialist" plot... a scheme, in fact, concocted by those of use who want to "take America" from them, feel 'em up at airports, and rob them of their precious bodily fluids.

...purity of essence...essence of purity...and so forth.

Well I think I know who Patient Zero is for the BB problem in NY and frankly he does not appreciate the name Bed Bug Boy that I have given him; BBB for short.

I know, I know. Remember the time when the world was perfect and safe and everyone was trustworthy?

Cold War? What's that? IRA, Carlos the Jackal? IRwhat? Carlos who?

These pat downs are not unconstitutional??

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
What part of that don't you understand?? Do you at least understand that the Constitution applies to the government, and not private venues (since you always seem to bring that up as justification for the rampant lawbreaking by the government)?

Fishing expeditions have already been outlawed by the Supreme Court, since random searches without any probable cause whatsoever, is in no way consistent with the Framers' intent, or letter of the law. Border searches are permitted, the interpretation of "probable cause" is more relaxed, but fishing expeditions are still illegal. But, of course, the government keeps on doing them in blatant violation of the law.

The idea is to force compliance with authority and instill fear within the masses, so they just go along with whatever injustice the money power has planned for us next. And I say, FUCK THAT!

It's not a question of "supporting" them. We all wish we lived in a world where we didn't have to go through any vigorous form of security and everyone was trustworthy. But that is not the case, so we learn to live with it. BTW, these pat downs are not unconstitutional by any stretch of the imagination. Considering that they only affect 1-2% of people who travel in our country, I don't see how this directly affects the poor and middle class who have most likely already gone through similar procedures trying to get into a night club, sporting or concert event.

Just like when John Tyner complained about someone touching his junk, there's nothing to see here.

I'm all for privacy and have always favored it when given the option. Oddly enough some here applaud the full disclosure of off the record diplomatic conversations, defend internet tracing and logging of one's identity by saying some lame shit like "if you've got nuthin' to hide"... yet some of the same people are raising holy hell about being frisked up at some airport.

Frankly, I detest flying in the first place. But if I have to put up with myself and my co-passengers getting groped felt-up and looked over in return for feeling just a wee bit more reassured that I might not suddenly "go-up" at 40 thou, well hell, so be it.

Regardless, the point of this thread is not to debate the laudability of the practice, but to point out the ASININITY of the usual “tools” who try to politicize an issue with the same old fear and hate based "smoke and mirrors" to better serve their own agenda.

Who says this??? And were they missing their schizo meds when they said it? It's absolutely RIDICULOUS that anyone could EVER say that warrantless electronic searches are somehow justified while physical searches are not. They're one and the same! Please let me know who these people are so I can beat them over the head with a thick-printed hardcover of Orwell's 1984.

Sargon.. this is the equivalent of race baiting.. you are citing some fringe/pathetic/usual-blogs-that-you-haunt-as-gospel and stirring up the LPSG gay hive in these parts...

Everyone here is a bit more real than that... work on the important stuff... for once.

Ok, let me get this straight. It is in people's best interest to have their airplane not blow up or be hijacked. People accomplish blowing up or hijacking a plane by hiding tools and bombs on their person. Many standard searching methods would not detect these items if they are well hidden. But you claim that search methods that would reveal them are "unreasonable"?

This is really the crux of the argument. The TSA has two primary duties here: 1) Keeping everyone safe, 2) Respecting everyone's dignity and privacy as much as possible. I numbered these in order of priority. I would agree with you, Big Red, IF and only IF you had a less invasive method of search which could still detect the dangerous implements people may attempt to bring onboard and keep all passengers safe. Do you?

Yeah, and we can totally see who the fear has been instilled into.

Similar pat downs are administered to people to get into various night clubs, sporting events or concerts. Therefore they are in no shape or fashion unconstitutional. Let's stop with the dishonest amendment talk and focus on the real issue here.
