I know, I know. Remember the time when the world was perfect and safe and everyone was trustworthy?
Cold War? What's that? IRA, Carlos the Jackal? IRwhat? Carlos who?
These pat downs are not unconstitutional??
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
What part of that don't you understand?? Do you at least understand that the Constitution applies to the government, and not private venues (since you always seem to bring that up as justification for the rampant lawbreaking by the government)?
Fishing expeditions have already been outlawed by the Supreme Court, since random searches without any probable cause whatsoever, is in no way consistent with the Framers' intent, or letter of the law. Border searches are permitted, the interpretation of "probable cause" is more relaxed, but fishing expeditions are still illegal. But, of course, the government keeps on doing them in blatant violation of the law.
The idea is to force compliance with authority and instill fear within the masses, so they just go along with whatever injustice the money power has planned for us next. And I say,
FUCK THAT!
It's not a question of "supporting" them. We all wish we lived in a world where we didn't have to go through any vigorous form of security and everyone was trustworthy. But that is not the case, so we learn to live with it. BTW, these pat downs are not unconstitutional by any stretch of the imagination. Considering that they only affect 1-2% of people who travel in our country, I don't see how this directly affects the poor and middle class who have most likely already gone through similar procedures trying to get into a night club, sporting or concert event.
Just like when John Tyner complained about someone touching his junk, there's nothing to see here.
