Yes, there are fatalities reported in American Samoa and beach villages in both Samoa and American Samoa have been destroyed.

Samoa has taken serious damage.
The quake has generated a tsunami that now heading across the south Pacific. They say they 'think' it will only be about a meter high but will hit my home city in less that two hours?
Kinda worried!

It's frightened me more than anything else.
Nothing I dreamt has come to pass, other than an earthquake with a lot of damage in the south pacific region.
That's to generic, possible and common to have been anything other than just a dream.
