Hey guys

I know a lot of straight guys who just aren't into anal sex. I've had it with girls, and while I'm not directly turned off by it, I don't really have any desires for it. But, like I said, I know (straight) guys who are simply turned off by anal sex. I actually think it's pretty common.

Is this the case for homosexual guys as well? And how do gays deal with that sort of thing? Or is anal sex just considered a "natural" thing, while for many straight couples it would be seen as more experimental? Does a homosexual man who's turned off by anal sex almost equal a straight man being turned off by vaginal intercourse (meaning that it really doesn't exist)?

I hope these questions don't sound too ignorant. It's just something I've been wondering about.

no no your question seems pertinent. Also in men sex penetration is not a must, for example if you find 2 tops (and they are total tops btw) they won't have any penetration just some hand or blowjobs.

the answer it's the some the penetation is not mandatory in any case, there are a lot of pleasured position in man sex that non contemplate penetation. gay sex is really fluid

I guess you could say that I fit into the stereotype of people who kind of thought that anal sex was considered "real sex" by gays, like vaginal intercourse is for straight people. Of course I knew that gays were heavily into blowjobs, masturbation etc., but I just thought that these things were considered secundary to penetration. You know, I don't consider getting a blowjob from my girlfriend having sex. In my mind there has to be some kind of penetration.

I did suspect, though, that this view on gay sex was somewhat simplified and un-enlightened.

I also think there's a misconception about it being a "hassle." I read these posts about how guys use an anal douche everyday, do all this prep work, eat special things, blah blah blah... Count me as another who's very much not into it. I can definitely enjoy it in porn and get off listening to others talk about fun times they've had. Everyone's body is different, also due to the diet. One of my good friends doesn't seem to need to do anything whatsoever to prepare. Sometimes my guy doesn;t need to either except watch what he eats that day. Me? Have to go through a whole douching session.

That's one of the reasons why I don't care for it any longer. Preparing for it is a nightmare. I suffer from intestinal malabsorption and most days it's like I have a rave going on inside of me. If I decide I want to do it, I have to plan it days ahead of time.... diet, medication, etc. I feel like I'm getting ready for a medical procedure and there is nothing sexy about it. At this point I'm down to a few times a year and that's it for me.
