As someone working on getting an apprenticeship to do tattooing as a form of income and expresion...I personally find them a huge turn on. That not to say that my opinion is the right one for everyone. Just as some people have a taste for redheads...everyone is different. We all should be tolerant of each others beliefs, looks, wants..etc.

Just my 2 cents:tongue:

A twenty year old guy that would do this to himself doesn't like who he is and has successfully made it easy for others not to find out what he is hiding form.

And there was I thinking that it's perfectly clear what he's hiding from.. ... the stupefaction of conformity.

A life lived with a single 'look' and with a single notion of 'self' seems like it would be a very dull place to me. Reinvention, renegotiation and metamorphosis are key elements in any life... and take different forms in different individuals.

ok so i've been looking and reading about all the different forms of body modification, mostly since i've been in touch with a body piercer who i am going to have do my PA when i do it ....

there's some seriously intense and interesting stuff going on now with skin removal, scarring, implantnts and cuts and what not...
and the cutting like.... cutting a penis practically right down the center, like a filet?
i cant say it was super freaky to me, it kinda made me laugh and wonder what you'd do with it....

also, the pointed ears and holes in cartilage and stuff.... nothing i'd really do but it's interesting.....

i have to say, the guy i want to pierce me, has a lotta tattoos and piercings, and i have to say i think he's really attractive, and i didnt expect that... haha

but i'm starting to find "interesting" people far more attractive than "nice" people lately.... that's prolly just me though.

"penile bifurcation" ... a particular fetish of horror writer Clive Barker, I might add...

*trivia fact for the day dealt with*

But once you make irreversible changes, that limits the possibilities for future self-reinventions. The only thing that's left is to become increasingly more extreme with the mods.

I personally love tattoos and piercings and think that sleeves are super hot (especially on girls)
As for whether or not people are turned off by your tattoos and piercings, I am sure that some people are because they just don't enjoy the aesthetic of them. This however should not concern you because if a person is afraid or apprehensive to approach you based upon your physical appearance, what are the chances that they are the type of individual that you would actually like to meet/hang out with.
I am sure that eventually you will meet that perfect heavily modded guy or girl!
Cheers:biggrin1:

nothing is irreversible anymore....just so its known

and you can still change things without going more and more extreme.......you can change jewerly and style.....and when you have gotten to what you find the limit of tattoos you just stop......and those tattoos are still unique to you......its all in the eyes of the beholder really......nothing says you have to go crazy with things........i have chosen to go much farther with what i have done with my body then others.....but that is just the road i have decided to take to mold and change how i see fit.....if anything it makes life intresting

and i will add this is a really really fucking old thread like a year or more i think......so not sure why it got started again

but i happend to be engaged.....almost 4 months now........so this thread is rather null and void.......well for what it was first started as anyway

Hi there warwithscars, I'm sure you're in a much better position to know this than I do. But I didn't think tattoos were easily (or inexpensively) removed. I have heard ads on the radio for a cream that supposedly fades tattoos over some long period of time, but I wonder if it really works?

As to whether I'm turned off or turned on by them: I don't mind some subtle tattoos or some piercings, even. However, if you've reached the point where your tattoos tell a big story... well, that's too much for me. A lot of ink is not attractive to me. However, I expect that guys who are really into the body modification scene wouldn't find me interesting anyway, so it doesn't make any difference, does it?

I can think of quite a few body mods that would be nearly impossible to effectively reverse. Most of them involve cutting - forked tongue, subincision or bifurcation of the penis, amputation fetish, that sort of thing.

Truly massive tattoos, such as the fellow with the full-body lizard scales, would be insurmountably difficult to eradicate without an unacceptable amount of scarring.

How good are they at undoing the extremely stretched earlobes? Can that be fixed with an aesthetically pleasing outcome? One thing's for sure, demand for such procedures is going to skyrocket in the coming decades, I predict a lucrative sub-specialty for plastic surgeons.

To change the subject, and I mean this in a totally concerned and non-judgemental way - have your modifications given you any difficulty finding employment?

sure when you take things to such extremes at the lizardman or myself.....things are less reversible.......but we know that.....or we wouldn't have chose to go as fas as we have......its our choice to dedicate our lives to it

when i made my comment i would referring to the generic sense of it

piercings can be removed with little scarring.....large ear lobes can be cut off and stitched up and you can barely tell it was there

tattoo removal has become more and more advanced now that they can remove things i wouldn't believe could be and you can hardly notice it was there.....unlike the old style were it wouldn't fully leave and you would have a good amount of scarring

and sure amputation is permanent that sort of a given i think......but other then that if you really want you can have things fixed i mean it will cost money but it should cost you something if you dove headfirst into something without fully thinking about if you wanted it for life or not

small piercings and tattoos still should be thought about in depth before receiving them but they arent as life changing

when going into something like tongue splitting, implants, large stretched piercings, extremely visible tattoo etc.....great care should be taken.......i personally did think about the stuff i wanted for a very long time......i had my facial tattoo design drawn since i was a sophomore in high school....so i had alot of time to think about it

i have never had a problem finding employment personally......i was the manager of journeys shoe store for 3 years and still technically work for them though i left the company.....i managed a wholesale body jewelry store for a year.....and i have been a body modification artist for 5 years now.....and i own my own studio called Corpus Gloria body arts

Several years ago I worked in a store that sold "body jewelry." This good looking guy comes in and wants a zero gauge P.A. I sure was tempted to offer my assistance to put it in. Probably a good thing I kept quiet though since a co-worker told me he was a new cop in town.

Actually, I do have a friend that has one but I don't like the taste of metal against the roof of my mouth so he usually takes it out/off when we have sex.

As for tattoos, I think those "barbed wire" designs on muscular arms are catchy.

I wear a 0g frenum, 2g transverse frenum, and a 2ga apadrayva, I can wear up to a 00ga PA as well. If you look at my pics you see that I have tatts along the sides and on the top of the shaft. Find some love it and some just walk away.
