Yeah definitely, especially when the guy I'm flirting/sexting with is on the other side of the planet. Sometimes knowing that we're never going to meet takes the pressure off somewhat and I'm able to flirt and enjoy the interaction more freely. I also enjoy the occasional meet up in real life but the hottest conversations I've had online were with guys I have never and will never meet.
