Historical correctness says we should say 20 but I should imagine I will slip into the Two Thousand.

I think so too. Think about how we said the years before 2000. But most people are saying "Two thousand ten" or "Two thousand and ten"

Sounds like 24/ 7 or worse 9/11, and I am sure that is not correct English,it´s kiddy talk.

Twenty ten is kiddy talk but Nineteen ten isn't?

I've mainly heard "two thousand and ten" or "two thousand ten" but I think "twenty ten" would be easier to say, plus it's how we said the dates in the 1900s as well. I mean, 1910 was pronounced "nineteen ten" not "one thousand nine hundred ten"!

What will we call the decade though? Twenty Tens...or Teens?

I've thought of this too. I go for twenty tens.

I was gonna say two-thousand ten, but have caught myself saying twenty ten several times now. :headache:
