Ahh I was going thru all my lps just now and foung my albums by oh yes Twiggy. Supermodel and 60's icon. I had to play them. She did alot of lps that had a pop and country flavor. I discovered Twiggy prob as that pop age was waning but I was entranced by her.

I thot she was great in Ken Russel's The Boyfriend. I got o see her on Broadway w/Tommy Tune. I waited outside for her to come out and when she did I couldn't talk to her. I was nervous. She was so great in the show.
What sets Twiggy apart from most models that went into acting ala lauren Hutton ,Suzy Parker et al is that she can actuallly dance and sing. Get ready to j.o. to this wonderful Busby Berkley scene from the Boyfriend.

It's really weird that her career went all over the place and never landed in one place after modelling.

Bowie called her Twig The Wonder Kid in his song Drive in Saturday. Here she is with him on his 1973 album cover called Pin Up's.

Geez doesn't bowie look like a very pretty woman back then?
I always loved that androgenous look.
I tried to cultivate but I was just 16 so the most I got
out it was this from a cop in Milwaukee..
" Hey boy"! "Shouldn't you be in school today"?
He grabbed me by the sweatshirt I had on and still never noticed I had tits.
