I've noticed a sort of 'trend' in my extensive (yeah) tenure here at the LPSG... Pardon me if this seems directed at any particular group or whatnot, but I am not pointing fingers whatsoever. I've noticed that in many threads directed at a specific group of people, people from outside that group are chiming in with posts that don't relate one bit to the original subject matter. Examples abound. Tonight specifically I found three:

-Person asks women the size of their breasts... guys chime in with their chest measurements?!

-Person asks women about how a large penis feels ... someone homosexual chimes in about anal sex feels.

-Person asks question directed at gay men... straight guys answer, etc.

I just dont get it. Specifically, I've noticed that a couple of members seem hell-bent on shoving their sexuality down other peoples throats. You can call me a prick or whatever... this is just the feeling I get.

:argh:

Some homosexual indeed. Thanks for the respect!

We're like a group of guys and gals sitting around the dinner table having friendly conversations.

We all have opinions/experiences and we don't hesitate to respond to any subject.

That comes from familiarity and being comfortable with each other. It makes LPSG unique.

Good point.
Since men/women/gay/straight/all the other differences
are reading the threads, we all chime in.

I certainly dont mind sexuality shoved down MY throat :p, but
if you dont, it is fairly easy to skip responses that dont
apply directly to you.

It's not just about shoving ones sexuality down other's throats; it's more about a desire to find any kind of common ground which often makes them seem like egotistical know-it-alls.

For example, I tend to doubt straight guys (and women) can really understand what it's like to be a gay man, but I welcome their insight. Kind of. To a point. Well, not really all that much when they TELL me what it's like because they have gay friends or relatives. I guess it would be better if once in a while these folks actually had a question and not just a lecture or advice.

But, it's nice that people try. OK, I'm going back to thoughts about how a large penis feels.

There's definitely some truth to that, yet I believe for a lot of us it has more to do with a lack of anything else to do.

Sorry, but, its called "internet forums".

I mean, if you cant be opinionated and loud on forums, where the hell can you be?

On that subject, why is meatloaf such an obsession in the US?
