Does anyone else feel like this show isn't satisfying? I mean he's still hot but they have him in this awful, unflattering suit when he's still hot and had 1 shirtless scene... Thought it would be more fun like his character in Supergirl, being thirsted on my Cat Grant and a new villain each week.

I'm honestly enjoying 'parts' of the new Superman and Lois. Seems some storylines get a bit too long. We're seeing Clark (Superman) in a completely different aspect than ever before. Since I normally watch this after actual show is on TV, I'm guilty of fast-forwarding through some parts.

Not even gonna lie I record the show and anytime Hoechlin or Bitsie isn’t on the tv I fast forward, every since Jon’s actor was homophobic about potentially bringing a bisexual Jon to tv I just don’t care about it anymore. Only supporting now cause I like Hoechlin.

Nope. I'm actually glad that didn't go that route. And that suit is anything but unflattering.

Really? What did he say exactly? That said, I felt that there was the possibility of them making one of the twins gay and I'm actually glad they didn't. It would have felt forced in my opinion.

Yeah I think they should show off Tyler’s body more with more shirtless scenes and a female villian that's after Superman would be great, and a red kryptonite episode woukd be nice. I am enjoying the show though.

They could've done Maxima, which would've had the whole Lois/jealousy/marriage thing covered. Or Unity as a creepy tentacle creature taking over Smallville (would've fit the current show's vibe too!)

If I can find the interview again I’ll share it for anyone wondering, but the gist of it was the actor got really offended at even thinking of making Jon bi. Since Jon in the comics came out a few months ago now. I understand what he meant but the entire wording was really bad to the point I just don’t want anything to do to support him.

This is one article about it there’s a ton. Also apologies on the formatting I’m on mobile rn and it’s god awful to make it look good on my end.

I agree with you. It’s completely understandable that he may not have been a fan of making Jon bisexual. There are so many ways to reword some thing. He could’ve easily have said, “I think that’s cool that Jon is bisexual in the new comics. I think that’s great. More representation. But as far as I know my character on the show is straight. But if they were to go down that path and make John bisexual, I’m all for it.” See? Simple. I believe his costar Alex even said that he would be down for playing Jordan as bisexual too. I think he said, “I’d be honored“. Not sure though. I think it was an insta-story question. Seems more supportive than his on screen brother.

I find basically every minute of the show that's not Clark and Lois interacting unwatchable. Not interested in teen relationship drama, not interested in the US Army trying to coerce Superman into being their thug every episode, not interested in a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist trying to write hard-hitting exposés about a podunk town where someone winning a pie-baking contest should be the story of the year, not interested in a parade of super-powered menaces just happening to threaten same podunk town, not interested in Lana Lang's neanderthal husband spouting MAGA talking points and insulting his neighbors for pursuing education past 6th grade.

“This is a different Earth,” Elsass said, noting that he had seen the news about his comics counterpart earlier in the day. “This is a different version of Jon Kent. And you have to remember there are other differences as well. Jon Kent, in this universe, as far as we know, doesn’t have powers yet. So there’s always that possibility, for sure, especially growing up, those formative years, there are things to explore. But I don’t necessarily know if that is going to be one of those things. Jon Kent, in this universe, at least for now, has been established as straight.”

I don't read what he said as offended. I have seen the interview quoted a few times, and as he said it is a different version of Jon Kent that existed before one of the comic versions came out as bi. Let's not see hate or homophobia where it may not exist.

Agree. I watch with VLC player so I easily skip those parts and the show ends up being 10-15 minutes long instead. It's the CW after all, they don't have the budget for 40 minutes of Superman. Hopefully HBO/HBO MAX takeover the DC shows at some point.
