Oh great a new generation of young teen boys for Jeff and his friends to groom

I hadn't thought it until you said it, but that's likely what is going on. Looking back on the show and how everything turned out, I bet the cast has some real sordid stories about Jeff.

Also, as an ex Sterek shipper who died in those trenches... Sterek will never happen, Jeff will never allow it, although probably Dylan's people too would never allow it. It's so lame, sad, and disappointing.

Dont fall for any Sterek bait they will likely toss out. They'll just try to dupe and queerbait you again for views.

Tyler is not a good actor, is has his ethnicity against him, he also didn't helped himself with all those tattoos and the cherry on top: his image is the worst: drugs, scam, porn, he looks like a junk now a days.....

Only a miracle can save his career now!

I never watched the show, have no idea who any of the cast are I follow him vaguely, here for the nudes.

However I do know him not being cast has nothing to do with his ethnicity, it's the drugs, unless you're a big big name, known drug addicts don't get cast because they are uninsurable. It's what killed of Lindsay's career and many others ... Every day on shooting costs money and if you're not there you're costing the production money, a filmset is a dangerous place with giant lights sets stunts cameras that can easily cause injury to the actor or the the cast hence why they insure actors , if you're uninsurable you're uncastable, even if you're clean unless you're a big name noones gonna take a risk on you these days. Unfortunately if you fuck up your reputation and go on drugs and meltdowns some unknown off the street is more likely to get cast than you as you're a liability, add to that the nudes and his group of friends... Most casting directors wouldnt meet with him

Hollywood is brutal to it's young

Posey has an ethnic face. He said most people assume he’s some form of Middle Eastern.
Posey is ultimately white passing as hell with a white sounding name. What the heck? Lmaoo y'all say anything to push a narrative huh? Smh

Dylan played a character in wired city who gets paired up romantically with Ed O'Neil. I doubt they have issues with him taking on lgbt roles

No one wants to hire a known drug abuser.
Unless the producer name is Ryan Murphy lol cof Macaulay Culkin cof. But yeah, nobody wants to hire a crackhead, he's only opportunity was something new related to teen wolf, although he is horrible with all the scamming and gay bating he has done.

Now maybe, however when he was just starting and the issue was Sterek there was an interview at some con once the Sterek reversal happened where they forced him into a straight relationship on the show to straighten him out. So maybe he'd do a gay role now that he's more established but I still doubt he would do anything Sterek related other than more queerbait.

Another thing I found funny is the whole pretending like "omg I just woke up and MTV surprised me with a Teen Wolf movie announcement".

Yeah...no, that's not how it works. Negotiations start months in anticipation to an announcement, otherwise you run the risk of the main character of the show saying "lol, not interested" and then having to deal with fan backlash if you recast the role.

He knew about the Teen Wolf movie months ago, probably around the same time he stopped posting on his OF, dropped drugs again, and went on to give that damage control interview to confirm that he is straight to ensure that the little girls that used to watch Teen Wolf would go watch the movie.

Heck, maybe that's where the anti-bully crowdfunding money ended up going.

what interview? Didn't he only just recently talk to Zach Sang about hating labels and that he isn't tying himself down to any one label? Am I missing something?

They’ve already announced a spinoff called Wolf Pack or something, too, though so they’re doing the movie with or without Stiles. The movie is a deceptive way to play into people’s want for a Teen Wolf revival while actually feeding them a feature length backdoor pilot. They’re not making a movie to make a movie for fans, they’re doing it to hopefully successfully launch a new show.

Ohhhh so it's not really a TW reboot.

You said it best. Dylan, although my man crush everyday, fits in that cookie cutter look Hollywood loves. Tyler would only be type casted as someone ethnic while Dylan can play much more versatile roles. I just wanna add thou Dylan was always the better actor even in teen wolf

Have you seen how Dylan has been looking lately? Lol

I read that was creatives part on the show not his, but I've never watched TW. But either way it was shitty thing to do and I simply think that was creatives decision not his as Dylan seems like a really decent person

The problem with Tyler as an actor is not his ethnicity (which is what made him attractive in the first place). His career didn't really take off because he is not a really good actor and he didn't play his cards right. Almost everyone in the show overshadowed him and stole his momentum, which really sucks for someone who plays the main character. Also he had some bad luck choosing his projects after Teen Wolf: Scream season 3 almost didn't air, that Lost Boys series didn't get green light and Now Apocalypse got cancelled after the first season.

The tattoos are not a big problem, as any FX and make-up team can cover them up. But he really fucked up his image as a teenage heartthrob before making the most out of it and securing him some continuity in the industry.

That's a bit absurd. At what point of the show exactly did they decide to reverse "Sterek"? It was never really a thing on the show. Quite the opposite. First season they had him following Lydia like a puppy dog.

Second season they actually brought the first in the series of the "Hale pack member bad girl that's going to deflower Stiles" except the actresses kept leaving the show (Erica, Cora then Malia) and eventually he left the show.

As for Dylan having issues with it... Well, does this look like someone who is running away from it?

The tattoos are not a big problem, as any FX and make-up team can cover them up.
But that costs money. Why would anyone pick him up and pay more to cover his tattoos, when he's not even a B-List? There are plenty of other options that don't cost with make up and VFX just to cover their tattoos?

If you're responding to me I never said Dylan hated it. I said Tyler Hoechlin wasn't that big on it and found it off-putting by the end.

"But for me, personally, just because I have so much respect for Derek as the character and for Stiles as the character that… for me, it’s like, to live in that, or to really think about that… I… just for me, personally, as the actor playing the character… I feel like I would be disrespecting the character, so I don’t really entertain it, or even think about it, just because for me, it’s such a separate thing, it has… it doesn’t really have anything to do with what happens on the show."

I think his main issue was the fans tbh. He did A LOT of cons back then and since their fanbase was one of the more rabid ones he bore the brunt of that. Like that really cursed picture of some girl dressed as Stiles leaning in to kiss him while Sinqua Walls is trying not burst out laughing in the background.
