Well, although this isn't strictly 100% true for everyone... It seems like the "type" of person a guy goes for varies less for ladies.

Most guys like a fairly slender (maybe sometimes curvy) lady with a nice face, usually 18-30. Basically all straight men would fuck Jessica Alba, but not ALL gay men would fuck Jesse metcalf, (if they liked skinny twinks, or big burly bears)

- I DO KNOW THIS VARIES and some people have fat fetish and everything. HOWEVER, there seems to be way more "types" for gay relationships, and people are generally more specific. With daddy roles, and twinks, boys, scallies, bears, muscle men, workers, suits, and so on.

I know what you are saying LouisVauban, but I really think it IS less of an issue, and the things you listed are generally preferences, and preferences are different to what I am addressing.

For example. Straight guy may have a penchant for blondes with big tits but would probably still fuck a brunett with small tits as long as she was still hot.

I have a friend who is extremely beautiful, a slim girl with normal tits and a knockout face. I have basically never met a guy who didnt fancy her.

I also have a friend who is an amazing looking guy, who many guys think are the hottest thing they have ever seen, but the percentage of people who find his conventional look really attractive is considerably smaller.

There are much more gay guys who would NEVER sleep with a really hot twink, because they find it unattractive.

My type is latino guys. I like a guy that is a nice mixture of cafe con leche with really smooth skin. I have friends that love on dark-skinned black men (one friend prefers purple guys), and that is there type. They don't budge. I will point out a really hot light-skinned guy, and they always reply "he is too bright." I have other friends that only like Abercrombie and Fitch smooth clean guys. I don't think there are less sub-categories, I think there just aren't "labels" for them.

Over the years, I've know lots of straight men and women who have exceptionally narrow criteria. They just didn't use animal names to describe their attractions.

Personally, I often don't find the twink-types or pretty-boys to be attractive; but physical characteristics are pretty far down on my list of what is attractive.

an otter is a man with fur, but usually on a lean or average body type. bears, though originally meant for all hairy men, I believe, now describes a hairy man on the heavier side. this is basically each. a lot of otters and bears also have moustaches or facial hair. also, a lot of otters become bears as they age. they naturally get heavier. Twinks and boys are pretty close, but I think twinks are typically dumber, prettier, and blonder. A boy doesnt need to be really good looking and have attitude. they just have to be young.

I think scally is a brisith term, and they are usually working class, trackie lads... i dont think you have this culture in the US, though i could be wrong. it isnt trailer trash or hip hop. Just poor white boys who steal cars and wear burberry.

Wow when you say "specific" don't you really mean "shallow"?
