AMEN! Some guys are so uptight. He can't handle the TRUTH!!! , Madame Z. He is envious of you for some reason. Invisibleman :yourock:Originally posted by madame_zora@Oct 21 2005, 01:07 AM
I wanted to let this develop for a while to see where on earth it was going before I really gave an answer. I get blamed for a lot more negativity than I actually create when you read my posts. Ukmale, please notice that I never said one cross thing to you for posting rather nastily about me. I did a search and read your posts, since there were 42 of them at the time it was no big inconvenience, and I wanted to see what I might have said to warrant such a negative view from you. Turns out we've never spoken at all!
In reality, almost every time I've had something negative to say about someone, it's in response to a personal interaction with that person I'm having. I really don't just flame total strangers on the board, despite the fact that people like to accuse me of doing so. I guess just because I don't wear a sign that says "line forms to the right" or "I'll fuck anybody that applies"that makes me a bitch. Now for those of you who are about to call me presumptuous, I ask you, what was this thread all about? Some guy is mad at me because I've expressed a preference for bigger dicks, that's all it boils down to. Sad but true, just like Metallica.
Please, feel free to post whatever you choose, I support free speech formidably. It doesn't mean your post will go unchallenged, because my speech is as free as yours. If you resent the amount I post, tough shit.

In defence of ukmale and at the risk of adding flames to the fire I want to say that I share some of his views on the site. I have been here pretty well thoughout, and I have no doubt whatsoever that it is more self-contained and less friendly to newcomers than once it was.
Of course there are aggressive people who stir up trouble, but I have witnessed a few genuine enquirers getting fairly rough treatment from regulars.

You really should know what you are talking about before you post, fredlet. I'm guessing you are one of those hiding behind your online character. It just so happens I am exactly who and where I say I am - I have absolutely nothing to hide, nor anything to prove to you. And I have never met Zora in person, but we have spoken on the phone. I assure you she is not some troll-man with an assumed identity.Originally posted by fredlet@Oct 27 2005, 04:24 PM
Hung Muscle, you've gone to the heart of the matter, and perhaps validated UKguy's original complaint in the process.
It's best to understand that several of the regulars are merely role-playing characters, many of whom are ran by the same individual.
That's why, in my posts, I refer to 'the Madame Zora character', etc. If such a person actually existed, the only observation you'd need is that she hasn't been the same since that house fell on her sister. It's hilarious to see how many guys kowtow to her imaginary ass. It's amazing what an avatar with cleavage will accomplish.
But of course, the guy who runs that character, and at least two others, is sadly stunted by his bitterness.
That's why he runs the characters.
He can't log on as an authentic human being lest he see himself, in print, for who he is. And he can't handle the shame if his arguments are bested by complete strangers. If a character he creates dies, it's acceptable. He can distance himself from it. He can artificially shield himself from that hit to his self-esteem.

Hey, Naughty. That question has been brought up before, and my answer is still the same: Offline, in person, I'm no different than I am online. I treat everyone with respect - until they prove to me that they deserve otherwise. If someone acts like a jerk to me in person, I will not walk on eggshells to tell them they are out of line. I don't make nasty comments lightly, nor do I sit back and take abuse. You, for instance, have never been anything but polite and respectful to me online, and I have never gone on the offensive with you, have I? It's only the nasty little trolls who try to stir up trouble that I get tough with. I believe fredlet went on an unwarranted rampage, and I felt I needed to set the record straight. The same with the little troll on another thread who, in the face of a challenge of logic, begins name-calling and cursing. Would I be as "salty" to him face to face? You bet your sweet ass I would. Would I take a swing at him? No, but if he did it first, it would also be his last. I'm an easygoing person, but I don't put up with shit from anyone.Originally posted by naughty@Oct 27 2005, 08:26 PM
Hi,
May I ask a question? Would most of us be quite as salty if we actually had to repeat a nasty comment face to face? Probably not! I know the net is an opportunity to reinvent and exercise dormant parts of our personalities, but please try to step back and think how you would respond if your comment had been said to you. ....

HungMuscle, I hope you're suggesting that you would take someone calling you a woman as unoffensive. One doesn't get to have an "opinion" about a "fact" issue unless one is indeed a moron!
