I immediately read the sentence correctly...and thought it really funny...

When a child, with time on our hands at the beach house, some friends and I taught
ourselves how to write with both hands...

1) writing at the same time with both hands...but writing in opposite directions..making
mirror images..

2) writing the same as above but upside down..in either direction.

For some reason now, I can still read immediately upside down and backwards writing.

But, I am unable to write them anymore without difficulty.

Funny how you can train your eyes to see things.....
