How harmful?? I don't get it how porn can damage kids...
So it's ok for kids to watch shitloads of porn?!

I'm also not under the impression the UK Gov wants ISPs to block porn sites as a thin edge of some wedge, where they get to control whatever we see on the net. It's the UK not China, FFS.

Seriously who gives a shit if some kid sees some porn or violence, it's the parent’s responsibility to stop them if they don’t want them to see that not the ISP's (and this is what the ISP's have told the government already on this one). I was playing rated 18 video games when I was 6 years old. The kinds of kids who react and 'mimic' violence in games are the kind of moron's who don’t have enough brain cells to tell fiction from reality. Stop making excuses for your kids been fucking retarded and you been too fucking lazy to actually check what there doing for 6 hours a night on their laptop when there about 12 years old. Newsflash fucktards, if you dont want your kids to watch porn, firstly dont buy them their own laptop and secondly put the computer they use in a main family room, problem solved. Stop using kids as an excuse to push through some bull shit anti freedom, police state policy. Anyone who thinks this is remotely a good idea need's a 2 foot strap on rammed right up their arsehole.

I rest my case.

If you cant see that it would be China if this type of crap goes through, then there really is no hope for this Country.

This is a complete joke and another attempt for government to deal with complaining parents who are too lazy to block these sites themselves. If they really want to "save" all these poor teenagers from sex and nudity then they should have an adjustable ISP content control with a password that the user can control. Who's going to call up and say yes can you allow me to view YouJizz.com or Beej.com haha

Oh well we are all forgetting Ted Bundy's insight to how porn turned him into a serial killer...I imagine all of us must have at least few bodies stashed some place if we go by this guy considering how available porn is through videos on the Internet and how much I know I watch and can guess you fuckers aren't to different yourselves haha

I suppose it all depends on your point of view, but I think the usual arguement goes that porn involving kids means that kids are harmed in the making of it - and you can't really argue with that.

So surely, there can't be a politician on earth who is going to opppose censoring the net if the effect is to eliminate kiddie porn?

However, the danger is in giving the authority to anyone to decide what you are allowed to see.

And who decides who is going to make these decisions on your behalf, and what do you do about it if you don't agree?

Unfortunately, what the powers that be are looking for is a "reasonable" excuse to acquire these powers of censorship initially. Once they have this, no doubt there will be clauses in the legislation enabling a minister to extend the powers without having to ask parliament. The thin end of the wedge.

so you mean that if kids watches porn is considered pedophile?? they even can see porn on national geography between animals, why all this avoiding on such a natural and human thing?

What I learned is that the more you hide from kids the worse it is, I think they should see how human body work and reproduce...with all naturality because porn is sex, if I had kids I would prefer to let them watch porn rather than violence.

If most of the people could act with such normality about this, kids would see porn like they see cartoons with the passing years....

Perhaps I didn't make a very good job of explaing my point.

What I was trying to say is, the reason given for banning kiddie porn - ie pornography which INVOLVES children - is that children are harmed in the process.

And obviously no one is going to argue to the contrary, at least in public, if they ever want to get re-elected.

That was all I meant.

And the fact that no-one is going to publicly oppose this view means it is the obvious premise to cite if you wish to introduce a degree of censorship, but that once this censorship becomes accepted, then more and more things will be added to the proscibed list.

And who could be trusted to administer such a system, and what rights as citizens would we have to appeal if we disagreed.

I agree that policing what children access over the net - and any other form of media - should be the responsibility of the parents; and I am totally opposed to any form of censorship

Damn I can't find the straight video, but seriously check this out it is absolutely hilarious!

Serial-Killer Ted Bundy's Dire Warnings About Pornography - YouTube

The best is the clown at the end that supports Bundy. The whole time I'm thinking...come on guy, you're agreeing with the guy who got the electric chair?
