Uncut Brit here, same for my bro. I think the trends have shifted over time.

Growing up in the 80s and 90s in an area that was mostly white British, I didn't know any lads who were cut, unless they were from a Muslim or Jewish family.

Interestingly my grandad was cut, I think it was the norm back in the early part of the 20th Century for white brits in certain class/ social groups. Apparently my grandparents were surprised when my bro and I were babies that we didn't get it at the hospital, but wasn't usual routine by the time we were born. Heard once that the Royal family get cut so go figure.

I was cut aged 5, due to phimosis. No-one else in my family is cut to the best of my knowledge. I genuinely haven't seen another cut guy in the flesh, both growing up and playing sports (changing rooms, showers etc) .

Thank you for sharing about yourself. Are yo unhappy that you are the only circumcised man in the company you keep, would you prefer to be like everyone else? Apologies for the questions. I was cut at birth and lived in a community where there were cut and uncut boys. I was very shy because I did not know why my cock looked different to some of the others and I was embarrassed about showing my cock when changing for swimming, for example. I wish that my mother had told me at an early age why cocks looked different. I asked her and she said that they were all the same. It left me always curious.
Would you like to see a "real" cut cock? Are you curious that your circumcision is like others?
I once was told by a psychologist that hey regard it as very normal for men to have an interest in looking at other men's cocks. It is the only way they can discover whether they themselves are "normal". How would you know if you could not compare.

I'm definitely not unhappy about being circumcised, it quite like it actually. Sure, it would have been nicer/more assuring to have seen a few more growing up and doing sports etc, but because mine was done when I was 5 I had a strong memory of it and therefore knew why mine looked different :). If I see a pic of another cut cock I definitely compare what their circumcision is like to mine, I guess it's natural curiosity. It's surprising to see the different variations out there. If you don't mind me asking, when type of circumcision do you have?

I stopped doing team sports a few years ago and don't really like gyms, so my experiences were mostly growing up, whilst doing swimming classes etc. It's quite feasible that things might have changed in the past decade or so. What's your experience/s on this front?

Its funny in some ways because I think as we get older and grow out of the fear of "not looking like our mates" we actually prefer being the opposite. I know I have.

I am in my 70's and in those days a baby boy was usually cut on the 8th day (same as Jewish tradition). A scalpel would have been used. you have to look very hard for any evidence of the scar. It is quit far back from the cock head. I would describe

sorry, internet collapsed. I would describe myself as moderately loose, I have always been able to jack off without lube.

I've read the Jewish custom of circumcising on the eighth day, which was commanded of God. Is because there is a certain blood clotting agent in the blood that is at it's greatest on that day. This is a scientific discovery.

Other than me there were 2 cut guys at school out of 40 lads. We played rugby and the showers were communal and all lads had to be naked.
My bf and I are Chinese American - he is loosely cut with some skin folds around his frenulum, while I'm uncut with a long "sheath" with overhang. Tbh, I like both. I love to stroke/kiss his cut line and he loves sheathing and unsheathing me! Due to his circumcision, I'm quite interested in this subject now!

However, here's the problem: I just don't understand British culture well enough! OK, I live thousands of miles from the UK, but I want to learn so much more! On this subject, I have heard totally different views from two English friends, so not surprisingly, I'm totally confused!! :

1. The first English friend tells me that he personally is uncut and he thinks that probably more guys in England/UK are uncut than cut overall but doesn't know for sure and has "no idea" if his friends are cut or not, because he says English boys/guys think it's very rude to ask/look at each other's dicks/check each other out. He says that Americans are "obsessed on the subject" while English boys/guys have either no views one way or the other and/or don't notice. In your opinion, is that true for nearly all English guys, or just most?

2. The second English friend disagrees and tells me that tho he's uncut, several of his friends (in London) are cut - and he thinks English/British guys *are* interested in the subject and also that English/British ppl do support it when it's explained clearly to them. He says at his high school (Tottenham, London), a black boy about 14 - 15 y.o. took off his swim shorts (UK: swim trunks?) in front of several other white boys of the same age in the locker room without using a modesty towel, so obviously they saw everything, and he says they took a "long look" - contradicting my first English friend who says English guys simply don't do that! - and they commented he was "Very long and big!" and someone asked if he always pulled the skin back, and he said "No, I was circumcised", and then told them that his parents decided to do it (in England) for hygiene and that nearly all black guys in England/UK with African parents are also cut. His parents were from Ghana. They asked him about some other black boys at the school, such as a popular boy with a white mother and Nigerian father, and he told them that he is also circumcised, and some others guys with parents from Cameroon/another Nigeria/another Sierra Leone, plus several others, were too. They asked how he knew and he said he either asked them directly (he said some guys just told him they were, a few were embarrassed to answer) or at a summer camp or he checked them out at the urinal! That guy says the boys were all gawping at the black boy's dick for a long time - he even lifted it up to show them and pulled the head away a bit so they could see his (hidden) scar line!! The other boys hadn't heard of being cut before, but they said it looked cool and that they didn't usually see another guy's head at urinal or shower, but that his was bigger than theirs! One said the head looked "very dry" but he liked the cut look. The others agreed and the black guy told them that girls prefer it. So it seems that even tho many English guys don't get cut/don't know much about it, they are just curious and/or support the idea if it's explained clearly.

So, based on a mix of what those English guys told me, and also that English guys generally are extremely polite and considerate - I personally have experienced a lot of both from a lot of English guys - if anyone looked at your dick, would they:

a) not notice any difference? ;
b) politely pretend not to notice? ;
c) notice but have no opinion? ;
d) notice and ask you if it's better? ;
e) compliment you and say they wish they were cut too? ;
f) think you just pulled back the skin?

Sorry for so many questions, and thanks in advance if you can answer any of them for me! I can also tell my bf (who's cut) about your views, too. Hope you don't think they're too rude or personally intrusive :)

Best regards,
Wei

Wow, I just saw your totally naked body and cool cut dick in your photo album, here! :

I love the look of your head! Btw, are your parents from a country in West Africa (such as Cameroon, Nigeria, Liberia, Ghana, Sierra Leone, etc)? And are your three cut friends also from Africa, or have African-origin parents? Thanks :)

Many African tribes practice circumcision as part of their initiation rites (acceptance into manhood type of thing). Very prevalent in West African countries. When such people leave Africa to live in other countries they want their sons to look the same as their fathers and so the like them to be circumcised. I have Nigerian friends living here in Australia and when their baby boy was born it was a priority of theirs to get him circumcised. This is not necessarily a religious requirement, it can be purely customary.

I was born in central Africa of British born parents and was circumcised when I was a baby. This was because my father and my uncle on my mothers side were both circumcised (family preference) and also because at that stage it was recommended that boys be circumcised in hot countries. Many boys who had been born in England came to live in Africa but were not circumcised and I knew a few who had to be done as adults because of tight foreskins or recurrent infections/irritations.

Much depends on family preference.

Oh, thanks a lot - that's very interesting! Do you mind if I ask you several questions - here and below? :

1. Your age (approx)?
2. Are you white/black, etc.?
3. Did white ppl there talk quite openly about it - I mean other boys at high school, etc?
4. As far as you knew, were circumcised boys at your high school in the majority?
5. Did boys ever ridicule those who were/weren't circumcised?

In the sports center showers, I noticed that both of my black friends from West Africa - they are exchange students - are circumcised (they are totally OK to be naked in the shower & locker room and when I asked about it, they talked to us about where/when they were circumcised - both as babies in hospital - and on the general subject of circumcision, very openly). I think you're right: boys of African parents who are born outside Africa are still very likely to be circumcised themselves, as circumcised African fathers want their sons to look like them. And they told us that they will definitely circumcise their sons, even if their sons are in a minority among other boys. Tbh, they were quite shocked to see I kept my foreskin (I told them that many/most (?) Chinese, here in Southern California, don't circumcise - tho quite a few still do).

I know that obviously you didn't have any choice as a baby, but:

6. Do you prefer being circumcised, or regret it (even a little)?
7. Do you ever wonder what being uncut feels like?
8. If you were to have/already have a son, would you/did you choose to have him circumcised?
9. Do you partners/spouse etc. like that you're circumcised?
10. Do you share with friends and general work colleagues that you're circumcised?

I hope those questions aren't too intrusive or time-consuming! Thanks very much in advance :)

2. Are you white/black, etc.? White
3. Did white ppl there talk quite openly about it - I mean other boys at high school, etc? No, not in those days. I was 13 when I discovered why some cock's looked different - until then I thought people were born different
4. As far as you knew, were circumcised boys at your high school in the majority? Majority cut
5. Did boys ever ridicule those who were/weren't circumcised? Not at all

6. Do you prefer being circumcised, or regret it (even a little)? No regrets at all. When "discovering sex" with other boys I did not come across one foreskin that wold pull back. All were tight and smelly - nothing to be envious about.
7. Do you ever wonder what being uncut feels like? No
8. If you were to have/already have a son, would you/did you choose to have him circumcised? 100% yes
9. Do you partners/spouse etc. like that you're circumcised? Yes
10. Do you share with friends and general work colleagues that you're circumcised? Now a days yes, people are less shy talking about such things

I hope those questions aren't too intrusive or time-consuming! Thanks very much in advance :)
