hmm, ya might want to follow up with a second opinion. pilonidal abscess/cysts are likely to reoccur unless the the pilonidal sinus tract is removed.

have they given you instructions or follow up appointments to have the packing drained?

I went to an express care clinic. The doctor was pretty much a walking perscription pad with some diagnoses.

He's not even 100% positive that it is a pilonidal cyst, he's just kind of guessing.

I have fall break this weekend so I'll schedule an appointment with my general practitioner. Since it's not something caused by buttsecks, I can actually tell my parents about this and get some help financially...so it all works out, kind of. Unless I need surgery. Then, fuck.
