... now that the AMA has stopped recommending that boys be cut at birth ...
The AMA is evasive. Here's what the weasels have on their webpage:

The AMA supports the general principles of the 1999 Circumcision Policy Statement of the American Academy of Pediatrics, which reads as follows: Existing scientific evidence demonstrates potential medical benefits of newborn male circumcision; however, these data are not sufficient to recommend routine neonatal circumcision. In circumstances in which there are potential benefits and risks, yet the procedure is not essential to the child's current well-being, parents should determine what is in the best interest of the child. To make an informed choice, parents of all male infants should be given accurate and unbiased information and be provided the opportunity to discuss this decision. If a decision for circumcision is made, procedural analgesia should be provided.
... the majority of boys born in the US are NOT cut.
If that's correct, it's news to me. It would be good news but I doubt it.

But it doesn't have to retract.

No, of course it doesn't have to retract, but regardless of where the foreskin is if it causes pain during erection or intercourse that is a problem.

Please understand that I am not advocating surgery as the only option.
While the foreskin is elastic, depending on the severity of the condition, stretching may take a significant amount of time (months to years) to ease the problem. All options should be researched, discussed with a profesional and considered.

This is a silly question. Very, very rarely, probably as rarely as a child getting circumcised dies, someone has trouble peeling back their foreskin.

Rarity actually makes this question less silly than most. If it were a common everyday problem then information would likely be easier to find.

As amusing as some might find Siamese twins, I'm sure it's no joke to any who were born that way.

Not a very apt comparison. Is that is supposed to be a comparison? I'd rather take months than have someone cut off part of my cock. It always amazes me how willing some guys are to give up a chunk of their penis and how willing many women are to give up their gonads.

Normal (so not very interesting), but it's amazing how many do have foreskin problems. Must be a design fault somewhere. Mine covers the head when flaccid, but fully retracts as erection takes place.I'm always fascinated to watch this as the glans expands and the skin retreats. My brother's is short and only half covers the head in the flaccid state, so it looks as if he's been semi-circumcised. Which he hasn't. Nor (obviously) was I, thank goodness.

Interesting. I'm like your brother. I'd be curious to know if any other members of my family have such a short foreskin too.

Mine is like that too. I read somewhere that your foreskin isn't supposed to be retracted until it retracts by itself at younger age. When my mom used to bathe me, she always washed the complete glans, retracting my foreskin. Many tears have flown, I can assure you it hurt a lot.
I never had any problems with it though, it retracts easily.

My dad on the other hand has a long foreskin. I guess it's just the environment that causes it.

How weird is that too having a daily retraction in the bath by your mom. I think this originates with outdated medical advice to young and inexperienced parents. It can be the cause of adolescent or adult circs because of tearing and bleeding and subsequent scar tissue formation. (Scar tissue is inelastic.) You were lucky.

It's kind of strange to see that your from Belgium because I thought they would know better than that over there. It may have made your foreskin shorter because once retracted it's not growing with the rest of your penis. Modern medical advice is leave it alone. It's just like any other part of your body. If it is not broken it does not need fixing. Sorry to hear you had to go through this.

I have a ton of foreskin and I can pull it completely back over my head when soft and hard and I also can cover my head completely when hard and soft and have a ton of over hang. Check out my gallery pictures…Jose’Latinoboy9:cool:

My foreskin covers the head when flaccid but I have to stretch it a bit to cover the head when I am erect. It retracts readily by hand or while penetrating.

No one believes me when I say I am uncut because my cockhead is so huge. However if you look at the pics in my profile, you'll see one where I'm pulling the foreskin over the head....

Im preety much like Latinoboy9 - almost 0,5'' overhang when soft. its no problem to retract it nboth in soft and erect state. if soft, retracted skin usually comes back and covers the head, if i dont hold it. When hard, only my pisshole is open, tho, if well worked out, the head gets more engorged and only half of it is covered with my foreskin. No problems with retracting it however.

Franky from newart, I'd recognise that foreskin anywhere!

Anyhow, just to say there's no reason for a foreskin to be cut at all, it will stretch as guys restoring will bear testiment.
