Had mind removed by a doctor a few years back and it was a breeze. I should have done it earlier.
Mine was not tight but towards the end of the tying procedure it tends to be weak and slowly come apart. Since yours is tight it might tear or pop painfully before term if you get an erection,so despite the possibility of more scar tissue or initial pain i guess it would be easier to have it done by a doctor.I found no hygene problems when i tied mine and did not change much in my routine,but taking into consideration the thing i stated above you can try to make the best decision for your particular case.
Thought i'd share the final result now that it.s all done.I was left with a remaining piece of frenulum towards the urethra(where the black dot is) because mine was connected quite close to that and the tie didn't grab it.I just grabbed it with a pair of nailclippers(the only thing i found thin enough to grab it)and made a tie around it as well.It lost all circulation and turned white within the first day and 5 days later i just cut off the remaining dead tissue and freed up the tie.I am quite happy with the looks and although the thin line hasn't got much sensitivity the extra exposed area of the glans more than makes up for it.

Have a urologist do it.
Mine tore from forcing my foreskin back during an erection, resulting in a long healing process and the frenulum ends looking sloppy.
My urologist did a nip and tuck to neaten things up, much better now, and easier to retract the foreskin.

I did remove the frenulum 15 years ago. I went to my gp, and then referred to a specialist. I went and with a small injection (quite painful the needle) he cut the frenulum. Healed everything after a week..... To be honest I wanted it because it was painful for me to uncover my glans but if yours doesn't hurt, just leave it. This is my own experience. Glad I did it but if I knew the injection was that painful I wouldn't have wanted to do it.......
Before meatotomy you should remove your frenulum Praeaputii . Only then you can get a straight cut.
I describe my method , as I have my frenulum removed. Everyone must of course know what he wants to do himself .
The frenulum prepuce remove ( frenulectomy ) I can only recommend . The advantages are:
1 The foreskin can move backwards , thus has a larger stroke during masturbation possible and the foreskin is more flexible .
2 The penis looks better, because the foreskin can almost unwrinkled pull back .
3 The penis can be kept much better clean.
I have the frenulum with three interventions even completely removed by the following method .
Requirement is to work clean and sterile , wash hands and penis thoroughly and sterilize the surgical site.
First, I have the penis about 5 minutes in ice water dipped , then you will not notice the cut . Today I would use Emla cream. After sterilization of the frenulum I have with sharp scissors ( with a pair of scissors can not slip ) the frenulum in the middle up to the glans ( glans) cut bottom. Today I would use an electrocautery because almost no bleeding occurs because the wound is cauterized .
It bleeds a little , do not panic . Next, I inserted a sterile gauze into the wound and the foreskin closed ( wound glued else) . Then I closed the foreskin with a strip of adhesive plaster and pulled a condom , if still leaking some blood ( which was not the case).
The next morning I carefully opened the foreskin ( the bleeding had already stopped ) urinates and inserted a new gauze after repeated disinfecting the wound and closed the foreskin back . But that's how I said adhesive pad can easily open for urination . After one week the wound had already healed so well that I could masturbate resist careful. Incidentally, the pain kept within limits is easy to bear .
After a few months , after the wound had healed well , I have only the rest of the frenulum on the Glansunterseite , and after that was healed well, also located on the inside of the foreskin by the same method . In the end I cut out a triangle , so to speak . With the result, I am very satisfied. The procedure is now 50 years ago , so I think I can tell.
Incidentally, I have never had a problem , and I am still very happy with the result . Emotional loss I can not tell .

Today i did it. Stick the needle in my frenulum and did a knot. No pain at all. I even dont felt the needle/stitch. Now it looks like this:

2nd day. First night i slept very well. No pain at all. Today i put ointment on it and alcohol again and did it more tight. Half of the frenulum is already cut. I think one or two days more and the frenulum is gone ;-)

A question.
I have some issue, well it really isn't an issue cause it works like it should but it bother me sometimes. The frenelum is stretching my glans downward and the frenelum is almost like an extra chin and have a lot tension in it under my penis when I'm pulling the foreskin back. There are no tension at all on top of my glans and behind my glans on top of the penis, just under it where frenelum is. It's also causing my penis to point down, like a banana :/.
I also feel like this is hindering my glans to swoll up to the max.
Doing this tie, does it mean it cuts the frenelum off and make it more movable, none pointing banana shape?
Do I understand this right?
