I know this is an old post but I just wanted to comment because I just finished tying mine for the very first time 5min ago (9:35pm EST, 03/01/2018). Excited to see the results in a week or two. Started with one shallower tie with plans to do a second if this goes well to finish the job. I used the recommended 0.5mm stretch magic thread and I think the helps a lot to have minimal discomfort, highly recommend it. I’m loading a couple pictures of it. As you can see, or maybe can’t, there is almost not redness or bruising, and yes, I pulled my knots really tight and I tied about 5-6 of them, just not totally confident in my knot tying skills so I wanted to make sure they stayed lol. I thought it might rip through when I was tightening the knots but the skin is very tough. I will post results when it finishes. Wish me the best of luck with it ^_^ View attachment 1001973 View attachment 1001974 View attachment 1001975 View attachment 1001976 View attachment 1001978
Keep us updated! Would love to see it as it progresses.

A frenulectomy seems to be very similar in appearance to my (which I have assumed I investigated correctly), dorsal slit. I cover over, but pull back to reveal all skin and my intact frenulum. To be fair, I need more skin. This was done as an infant so the skin didn't expand as it should have with full growth.

Here is an update (03/05/2018). Now as a disclaimer, this looks a little bloody because I didn’t end up tying the very first knot tight enough and then used a sterilized exactto knife to nick the last little bit, even so, just looks red not really too bloody. When the string was cutting there was absolutely no blood. With that said, you can see compared to my last pictures how much was cut, it went for a smaller cut size to see how it goes, and you can see the detachment from the glands and the around 1/4 inch separation. Over all I am happy with the results and will be doing the second tie as planned to lengthen it to my desired results. I will be giving it a few days to a week to heal up first though, with copious amounts of triple antibiotic ointment to keep for any infection. Will update when I start the second go and of course the final results. Let me know what u guys think so far ^_^

I've tied my frenulum twice with rather positive results. Like you, my frenulum was never that sensitive, though what sensation I did have hasn't changed -- it's just moved a bit further away from the glans since it's no longer attached there.

It made it a lot easier to stretch my foreskin and dock things in it, and it moves much more freely. I can also do fun things with it like fold it and stretch it over stuff that I didn't use to be able to.

Attached are some comparison shots that show the difference before and after the two ties. In the "erect side" pic, the red line on the after pictures is the original angle as shown in the before picture.

I'd really like to do a third tie to completely separate it; I want my foreskin to move like a cylindrical tube.

Can I use regular sewing thread
You asked the same question before. Of course regular sewing thread can be used although it's definitely not preferable considering the alternatives available. Fishing line and Stretch Magic are not that expensive and easily available so why not use those?

Here is another update (03/07/2018). It healed up from the first tying, you can see in these pictures the dark spots are where the scabs formed and are solid, and will fall off in time, there is no bleeding when touched or anything. I started the second tie today. In the picture with the arrows you can see the entry point for the tie where I put in the needle, it is marked with the red arrow, and the anchor point just at the bottom and of the glands where I wrapped the tie, it is marked with the yellow arrow. The distance between is about 1/4 inch but it might not look like that since it was pulled close together by the tie. This one hopefully will finish the project with the desired results. If it doesn’t I can always do a third tie if need be but I think it will be enough. We will see. I made sure to tie the first knot this time very very tight, don’t want it loose like last time, I’d rather not have to nick the last bit again as it isn’t the easiest thing to cut, it’s quite tough and you also don’t want to mess it up lol. I’ll update in a few days with some progress ^_^

Thanks for your detailed report. That will certainly help many masturbators. If you need to cut a rest of the frenulum, use a pair of sharp scissors. This can be cut exactly.:)

I have a 0.5mm nylon line, but the only annoyance is that it curls up on itself one cut. Anyone had that problem and have any solutions?

Have you tried fixing one end before cutting it off? The nylon line should still be usable that way.
