I pull back at a urinal because if not the piss goes downward, hits the water in the urinal and causes splash back to hit my pants or shoes. Pulling back, for me, makes the piss shoot forward instead of downward.

Always pull it back to avoid mess and wrong aim. Once though..I was in one of the highway urinals and had to pee badly. all the urinals were occupied and I had to wait for 5 minutes in line. Finally when I got to a urinal, there was no time to retract and my aim hit the wall between my urinal and the one to my right, and bounced back on the guy's thighs next to me. I quickly took over control and apologized. Luckily the guy was a good staright friend of mine and understood it was an accident. The poor man had a wet spot to deal with

At home I tend to sit since with a PA the aim is iffy. However, I will frequently get a piece of paper towel on the way by the dispenser, pull back enough to clear the jewelry and then pee... afterward use the paper towel to dry and dribbles or excess and then wash my hands.

I know both of my parents told me to pull it back. I think I heard it more from my mother.

I was never taught all these things. I know they're little things you sort of learn along the way but I've really never been given the talk or any tips. It was me against the world through puberty. Survived it though.

On the subject, I pull back, most of the time fully, to pee. Public urinals or otherwise I do it the same way. Keeping the foreskin over the head can get pretty messy.

Usually piss with my skin halfway over my head. As long as my piss slit isn't covered by my skin I get a good aim if not it sprays everywhere. Sometimes pull right back too.

Yeah looking at the comments here I never had any advice about peeling it back when younger to take a loss kinda wonder what that would gave been like especially during puberty
