Uncircumcised men are usually advised to retract their foreskin before peeing. The "degree" or type of retraction of the skin can vary: there are those who uncover the entire glans and there are those who exhibit only the tip of the glans. Essentially, this suggestion is given for two reasons.

I always pull back my foreskin to make sure my glans is free.
If I wouldn't do that, i would have a shower when peeing or the stream would split and would see a triangle.
My urether doesn't end right in the middle as most do and my foreskin comes over it.
Pulling back completly is also in doctor advice after examination of my curvature.
