I am a preppy IZOD wearing, Grand Wagoneer driving, Sebago shod, WASP in every sense of the word. I am very loosely cut so I have more foreskin than most guys and have been mistaken for being uncut more than once because I have enough foreskin to cover half of the glans when flacid.

I honestly never saw but one uncut dude during my entire childhood, prep-school, and university days. He was a French guy I hooked up with in college and when he pulled it out of his shorts I was kind of amazed at the appearance of it because at age 21 I had honestly NEVER seen an uncut cock before. It just didn't look right! LOL

I was born in the 1970s so the percentage of guys born in the 80s who were not circumcised may be higher but in the 70s the circ rate had to be close to 100 percent at least among WASPy guys.

So how/why did your Ecuadorian friend end up being circumcised?

He said his father was a diplomat who'd believed in the US medical establishment. He said his friends in Ecuador had been about evenly mixed, half and half, cut and uncut.

I also have just met a guy whose father was from Venezuela who is cut. I haven't asked him why he was circumcised, but if the subject comes up, I'll ask.

Why were you cut, circdguy2004?

NCbear (who's honestly curious)

. . . I honestly never saw but one uncut dude during my entire childhood, prep-school, and university days. . . .

Four or five straight guys in my dorm wanted me to show them my cock so they could see what foreskin looked like. I declined, but I described what it looked like and showed them pictures of young European and Latin men who were featured prominently in the porn magazines I'd already bought by that point in my life.

To a person, NONE of them had ever seen an uncut cock. EVER.

I'm still blown away by that.

NCbear (who's seen uncut cock ever since going to the state fair as a child: I looked to the left and right as other guys pissed near me at a bank of urinals -- a fair percentage were uncut, since the fair was in the capitol of North Carolina :rolleyes:)

I am uncut! Whenever I am in a locker/shower room, I know that other guys notice! There have been several times when another guy would even comment. I was sitting across from a guy in the sauna and he said "I see you're uncut!", which was alsoo another way of saying "I've been sitting here, looking at your cock!"

I am never offended when I get such comments, and will often explain, if asked "how did you escape?" that I was born at home. Some guys will even ask "so how does it work?" and I have given "demonstrations" by pushing the skin back to show them. I usually get a comment like "Now it looks just like mine!"

At one time I might have been self-conscious about my uncut cock, but no more. I know there are lots of guys who wish they still had theirs.

I also was born at home with a mid-wife in attendance.

I remain uncut and appreciate my status.

Never have been asked to demonstrate the peeling back, but if asked I would!!!

I'm a WASPy-looking (6', 205#, short blondish hair, blue-green eyes) uncut, moderaetly hairy, tight-muscled, adult, and I like the look too. I've got ancestors on the Mayflower, at Jamestown, and the least WASPy I've got were Heugenots (French Protestants) who arrived at Manikintown, Virginia in 1659. WASPs rule...and we write nice thank-you notes, too.

I can't claim a drop of WASP, though I'm from 100% European stock. And uncut either bcz dad's from Europe or bcz I was born outside the US (or both), even though I'm Jewish on my mom's side. But they don't seem too fussed about who is and who isn't.

My partner is of Austrian & English ancestry. He's way WASP-y on his dad's side... they've been in the US for generations and founded Rockville, MD. And he and his brother are uncut, too; he guesses because his father was a doctor (best place to find uncut American guys is doctors' sons. Weird, right?).

I don't know about most other people, but I really have a thing for the "All-American" preppy type guys... or "WASPs" in a word...

Interesting definition.

I've always thought the term "All-American" was a bit of a joke, flying in the face of America's cosmopolitaneity. With America heading towards 3rd world status (urban blight, poverty, health standards that are distinctly sub-prime, and not one of it's cities making it to the top 20 list in the IEA or Mercer index for quality of life), the concept that "Whites rule America" is something I find increasingly in the domain of "who gives a rat's ____?".

I agree, by and large, Stronty, but the USA still has some outmoded 1950s ideal man (and woman) in mind when we use the phrase "All-American," and it's always some white, impossibly straight-laced, pure-as-the-driven-snow person who comes from some upper-middle to upper-class background.

Usually it also means "athletic" and "well brought up" and "well mannered" and all of that, too. Like the idealized handsome "boy next door."

It's all a myth: all the boys next door now have tattoos and are emo kids or meth heads. Unless you're still stuck in the 1950s and therefore have problematic politics. At least, that's true of my area of the country.

NCbear (who's definitely NOT "All-American" but who is definitely "Southern")

Thanks, NCbear, for the gracious reply to my rather ungracious earlier comment.

I'm a little puzzled as to whether the term 'corn-fed' is acceptable or not.

I thought it was used to describe "an impossibly straight-laced, pure-as-the-driven-snow person who comes from some upper-middle to upper-class background from the country", but I saw someone react to the phrase like he had been called a hick or hill-billy.
