    Hey folks,

I thought I would ask you for your very respected opinions, as I know how many of us like our underwear, on some designs I have put together.

    Firstly, the concept:

It is an underwear range that will support a charity in Africa with a proportion of each sale going to charity.

Its being called (The) Pants Project - for those of you in America, Yes I realize that pants are actually trousers, but for now its being launched in the UK initially where pants are common name for underwear.

What I have attached are sample waistband designs which I would appreciate any feedback on. I want to create a look that is bold and eye catching that somebody wouldnt be afraid to have on display (if you like your waistband showing above your jeans!)

So some questions for you to think about:

    1) Do you prefer The Pants Project, or just Pants Project?
    2) Do you think that the name itself works well as a logo?
    3) Do any of the designs particularly stand out?
    4) Any other comments?

I appreciate your honest opinions and while I realize this will not be to
alot of people's tastes, I stand by what I think is a catchy name and 'project' that I hope I can bring to market with your valued input.

Oh and if i were to use the tagline, 'Underwear That Supports', would you understand the double entendre?

    Thanks for your time :)

Still to be decided...but something that supports immunisations, basic sanitation needs...the idea is that when you buy a pair of pants your contribution is helping keep somebody else alive and to reinforce the fact that a small amount of money can really help a lot. this side of things will be much more fine tuned to really promote the cause

When I look at "waistband" logos on underwear - I notice they are usually just letters or a small brief catchy word - it would be my opinion to somehow come up with a shortened version of your brand name - one that can be seen easily and identified very simply. Design has to be SIMPLE SIMPLE SIMPLE.. Also colour makes a big difference - good luck with the product and I wish you well for the cause for Africa.

    the first design.
go for bold colours that attract attention. we all look other guys waist band above there trousers. dont deny it.
have a look at Diesel and Calvin Klein Steel waist bands.
just go with Pants Project, not fussed on the name but if thats what it is.

I like the top logo/design - but may I suggest moving the star? Having it between 'Pants' and 'Project' might make people think it's actually called 'Project Pants' because it's repeated around the waistband.

Then again, 'Project Pants' sounds just as catchy so maybe put a star before/after each word and let people make up their own mind about the name.

I think it's catchier without the 'The'.

I like the second logo/design as well.

Maybe have a double P as a logo instead of a star? Maybe with one of the P's backward? Plus you'd get the double entendre of PP (pee-pee).

    Just my two cents.....

Thanks man I love your ideas! Yes, i did consider the Double P - but then i thought it might come across as a bit childlike with the reference to 'Pee-Pee'! I still want to go for a masculine and bold branding.

And thanks again to everybody's thoughts - I knew you guys would be awesome :)

I like "The Pants Project" and it works a logo. I like design 3 and 6 but I really like the lettering design on 1 and 2. So combine them :) Use the letters from 1 and 2 and put them on 3 and 6. And yes I understand the double entendre.

Could you also post a link to the website??

No website just yet - its all very initial stages which is why I am so appreciative of people's feedback on some of the design ideas.

Looks like logo 1 is the most popular so I am taking things forward with that...

Yeah #1 is pretty cool, use different colors and large band sizes as is in fashion these days.
