I don't know if this has been asked before but I was just wondering about what everyone thinks about the bulge or lack of bulge in most underwear models in catalogues. Do you think that these guys are just under endowed or they are photographed in such a way to not make their bulge very noticeable..

Just wanted to know what everyone thought.

I think there a technique in doing that, either to make it more prominent or make it looks like theres nothing there. I am curious too mate!

I think it depends on the demographic that the ad is aimed at. The boomers get average-looking guys with airbrushed PG rated ads while the younger generation gets ultra-buff, slim guys with big bulges.

That pretty much sums it up. Also, they sometimes stuff to make things look smoother, or bigger. That, again, depends on the demographic.

vaguely. but never saw the pic. damn. "undergear" got yelled at for being too revealing also, and toned it down.

internationaljock.com still has come good shots, but i don't know if they have a "catalog" really.

I modeled a few years back. They offer a small insert that sits between your balls & flaccid dick. It pushes your dick up ever so gently as not to be seen. I declined it but other guys at the shoot who were growers took them.

PS Most male models do push ups before any shot. Some models look at a little porn to have some blood flow there. Just enough for a hint of a semi but not enough for the balls to raise.

They wear cock rings made of clear rubber. Last year I spent some time In Hawaii and stayed on Molokai and I came across a model shoot of men and women for swimsuits and I checked things out for a while and when the person in charged did the final check before they went in front of the photographer and the guys were wearing either g-strings, thongs or speedos and he would hand them a cockring and make them put it on, and sometimes help adjust them if it didn't look right...

Since puberty, I have always liked to check out the models for underwear and swimsuits to see if I could spot the outline of their goods. In the newspaper ads, you rarely see anything defining when they advertise underwear. I'm sure it's that way on purpose. Oddly enough, I've seen ads from circulars in the Sunday paper for mens pants in which I could plainly see their dicks hanging - obviously boxer wearers. I'm surprised that the stores sponsoring the photo shoots didn't catch it or didn't mind. I saved an ad from about 8 years back with a young guy wearing light tan Levis Silver Tab cords with a big semi hanging. He wore an untucked plaid flannel shirt that he lifted up on the left side moving the shirt tail so you could see the clear outline of the head and shaft - obviously circumsized - hanging on the left side of the fly. I can't help wonder if it was done deliberately to appeal to teens who were predominantly boxer wearers back in the '90s who got off on being able to show their dicks through their clothes. It's total stroke material for me. I get hard almost every time that I look at that ad.

I believe it was in the early 1970's when that happened. There was a song about a man "on page 602" in the Sears and Roebuck catalog that was released some years ago. LOL But, yes, it is true, and it actually could be seen.

Yes, I do remember that Sears catalog, and I did see that picture. It was in the 1975 Sears catalog.

My friends call me "Mr. Awareness" because I often miss the obvious. I looked for a defining bulge in the guy's boxers, but didn't see one. I wondered why all the fuss. Then I spotted the tip peeking out the bottom. I think it's funny that the people who approved the ad photo didn't see it and it made it into print.

ahhh...but maybe the copy editor did notice and let it go through anyway.

Anyone know if the guy won his lawsuit and, if so, how much he got?

Maybe he should have just been grateful for the free publicity. He certainly had nothing to be ashamed of!

When I was a teenager, I got a subscription to the Undergear catalogue. For many years, it basically served as jerk-off material for me. One day I was in a new shop that sold adult magazines on the top rack, and they had the Undergear catologue in the gay porn section.

There were a few pics of guys wearing sheer swimsuits that you could practically see through. You couldn't really see much, but the fact that you could see anything at all was a huge turn-on for me.

With regards to bulges, a few of the models impressed me with how stuffed their underwear looked, but those were the exceptions. As a general rule, I always wondered how they could stuff themselves into something so tiny. I'd think, "Where are their balls? I'd be hanging out the sides of that thing, or I'd have to shove my balls up my asshole to get it on, and I'm not that well endowed.

So my guess is that most underwear models are, at best, of average endowment.

What I didn't notice then but I do notice now is how often underwear models have their penis positioned upright or up and to the side. I guess that answers my question about how they have room for their balls (sort of), but I've never liked wearing underwear with my penis pointing up, and even when I'm flaccid the head would peek up over the waist band.

Attached are some of my favorite pics from the Undergear catalogues of the late 80s/early 90s. The first pic is of Spencer Garbett, one of my favorite models. I was saddened to learn that he committed suicide about a decade ago, at the age of 27.
