I generally a voyeuristic person. I am intrigued by the actions of others. As of late, i have tripped across a few situations that have intrigued me. Its one thing to encounter nudity in public at events likes WNBR or the Folsom Street fair, or a college kid in PJ pants. However, encountered a few situations where I have encountered people in their underwear or pajamas in places where it wasn't generally expected or accepted. That led me to wonder if anyone else has encountered this and what the reaction was?

Some of these situations occurred pre-pandemic but as of late, and a few more situations, I decided to write about them to see what others thought.

The first set of situations involve underwear encounters, well actually thermal underwear, and occurred pre-pandemic I was in sports bar hanging out watching the NBA conference playoffs. I noticed a guy, probably mid thirties, swimmers build, dressed all in white tight fitting clothing. The all white is what made him stand out. I didn't think much of it, until i ended up behind him at the bar waiting to get a drink. Up close, I realized, that his all white outfit, was actually a waffle weave thermal crew neck shirt, and waffle weave thermal underwear bottoms, with an FOTL waistband. and not sweatpants.

The shirt was not super long, so it ended at the waistband, and did not cover the fly. I didn't have the balls to ask him why he was just in his long johns, but he didn't seem to care that he was in his underwear and it was obvious to others that he was in his underwear. It didn't seem like he was with anyone, but hung out at the bar, even played some of the video games. I did hear one guy, when we were waiting in line for the bathroom say to him "nice outfit" He said thanks but nothing else. I am not sure if he was there on a dare, but it didn't seem like it, because he was not acting embarrassed or trying to hide the fact that he was just in underwear. Even when I saw other patrons look at him point him to others, it didn't seem to bother him.

I saw him couple of other times at other bars in the same city, at different bars. One of those times, I was close by when a bouncer came up to him ask him to leave because the manager didn't like that he was just in his underwear. It made we wonder if he was trying to pass them off as sweats or workout gear, or if he just wanted to go places in his underwear.

The other situations involved pajamas. I am not talking about the printed flannel pants that college kids wear. I am describing, older style cotton, with a matching shirt that has 3 or 4 large buttons going down the front, and contrasting trim piping on the sleeves, breast pocket and down the front, with either a plaid type print or stripes as the main color. Again, its not unusual to see people in the flannel pants going to the grocery store, or the running a quick errand. This guy, who was probably in his late 30s, was getting on an airplane. I ran into him in the security line. It was an warm spring early morning flight. I was behind him as we were going through screening. He was wearing blue and white striped pajama pants and shirt, no jacket. TSA had pulled him aside, for an extra pat down. After I was screened, and was gathering my bags. I heard the agent ask the guy, as he was getting pat down, if he was wearing his pajamas. The guy said, yes, but what he could he say it was an early flight. The TSA guy said, true it was early, and cleared him and wished him a safe flight.

I ended up following him somewhat on the long walk to the gate. He stopped for coffee and some food. Didn't seem fazed to be walking through an airport and interacting with people while dressed this way. Turns out he was on the same flight as me, but sitting a few rows ahead of me. I ended up behind him waiting for the restroom mid flight. I struck up a conversation, with hey you look comfortable. He said he was, but didn't offer anything more.

I actually ran into the pajama guy recently. I was getting my car serviced and he walked into the waiting room after i got there. He ended up sitting close by, because the place was pretty busy. I almost didn't recognize him because he was wearing a face mask, but his red checkered plaid pajamas that he was wearing made me look closer. After some time passed, I asked him if we had met before, he looked at me quizzically, I said maybe not formally, but I think I ran into on flight a while back, you were wearing pajamas then too. I couldn't tell his facial expression, but he said that it might have been him. So i finally asked, about the pajamas. He said, he likes the comfort. I asked if he was bothered by people staring or looking at him weird when they realize what he was wearing. He said, no. I also asked if he ever had an ran into any issue because he was in pajamas, he said no, no one has ever said anything to him and the conversation ended.

Pajama guy and long underwear guy had me thinking though... Obviously i noticed, and was curious, but do people really care what people wear? Is this something that others notice? What would your reaction be if you ran into either of these guys, or say anyone else that was under or undressed in public at a location that such an encounter would not be expected? Have any of you encountered person in their underwear or pajamas or less in everyday public?

I think that’s what turns me on about it, that they don’t care. The whole reason I’m into underwear is just from seeing them unexpectedly at the beach or out and about and someone’s pants were sagging a bit.

Even growing up and changing for gym class or with friends to go swimming I always was so turned on by whatever pair they just randomly grabbed to wear.

I lived in a popular tourist city a few years ago and a lot of guys at the park and stuff would be casually walking around in their underwear after jumping in the river that was there and stuff. That type of confidence and stuff would turn me on, I never had a conversation with someone about it though on or off line.

what you said though makes me think about all that lol, it’s always been a dream of mine to find a guys boxer briefs that are the same size as mine and I can sniff them or wear them and stuff. I always thought it was kind of a random fetish but I’ve come to terms with it. Lol the public showing of underwear and stuff can be so hot sometimes and just a daily wear of boxer briefs or something is so hot to me.

I agree, seeing it unexpectedly is great. While the sagging trend was good, its more interesting to me to see people in public only in underwear or something that you wouldn't expect people to wear in public. I think its becoming more main stream. When the TV show survivor was on, nobody thought twice about being in their underwear, even knowing it is going to be on national tv.

I also think what started me paying more attention, was something that I saw a bunch of years ago in fitness club. There was guy who would routinely work out in a t-shirt and his boxer briefs. He was a little more subtle about it. He wore longer t-shirts, so his hanes waistband would be covered, the the fly did not have contrasting trim, so it was less noticeable. But if you got up close, when he was on a weight bench you quickly could recognize that he was in his boxer briefs. It was a little more noticeable when he wore lighter colors v. darker colors. He never wore white though, i guess that would have been too obvious.

But other than the guy in the gym, and a couple times, at the beach, i never experienced much, until the guy in long johns, which kind of reminded me of the exciting aspect of tripping across this type a situation, in a place where you wouldn't expect it. Yeah its cool to see people naked at WNBR, but its expected.

My question to Coolest guy though, is why are pajamas v. long johns more acceptable. Long john pants if worn with like a t-shirt or hoodie is almost like sweat pants? And the guy in pajamas i saw, was not wearing the more popular pajama pants. It was if he wanted to be noticed? Same with guy in long underwear, maybe that is their enjoyment. Who knows? But it makes me wonder, for either guy, would they dress that way if they were hanging out with friends at a bar, or going on a trip or maybe to ball game? Could either guy be accepted at a nicer restaurant?

I mean, it's not lewd/revealing, other than being a little thinner and baggier what is the difference if you want to wear pajamas? Guys walk around in medical scrubs sometimes and that o

The thermal pants maybe cling a little more in the front than sweatpants would (on most people) plus I assume he had nothing on under them, so maybe that was a little more provocative.

I had these Tommy Hilfiger shorts years ago that were thin cotton, like what boxers or pajamas would be cut from. They had a wide elastic waistband with their name and logo, similar to underwear, but also had a button fly and pockets, like shorts. I wore them to walk around in the city once (with regular underwear underneath) on a hot day and some geezer thought he would be funny by asking me if I forgot my pants. The woman with him told him, "They probably cost more than YOUR pants!"

Time flies, more than a year since since this thread started... but i recently got an answer to one of my questions: "would either guy dress that way if they were hanging out with friends?"

I was at a restaurant recently, sitting at the bar having dinner, while watching various college basketball games, when the guy i had seen wearing pajamas previously, sits down at the bar about a seat away. He was definitely wearing black and white plaid flannel pajamas (matching collared shirt and pants). A few minutes later, 2 other guys join him, and after various greetings and "bro hugs" all three sit down at the bar, with the 2 friends siting on either side of pajama guy, which now has one of them sitting next to me. After ordering drinks, the guy next me (Friend #1) says to pajama guy, "what's the deal, it looks like you are sitting here in your pajamas? Too which i hear the other friend(#2)ask" Didn't have to work today?" Pajama man replies yes to both questions. So friend #1 says, did you go to work dressed like that? Pajama guy responds yes, in response to the questioning looks, he says he likes wearing pajamas. He went on to explain that his company was never really dressy. So shortly after, his office reopened post pandemic, he figured that since his coworkers had seen him in pajamas on zoom calls, he would see if anyone noticed if he went to the office in just his pajamas. He said nobody really noticed at first, since there was not lot of interaction with each other and people kept to their desks. However, he said, he got "discovered" when their boss called the first staff meeting when he and his 10 or so coworkers were all standing around the conference room. When his boss started the meeting, he said he was glad that the team was back together and happy that everyone felt at ease at the office, while looking directly him. He explained after the meeting, a few people asked about his clothing choice, but not much else was said. Friend #2 asked if his boss said anything. Pajama guy said, a few days later when he was wearing pajamas again, he was getting coffee in the kitchen when the boss walked in. imitating his boss i guess, pajama said "jammies again today?" and PJ guy said yep, does it bother you? He said his boss said, nope, don't care what you wear, so long as you get your work done, and no one else is complaining. PJ guy then said, the pajamas he was wearing were a gift he received at the office holiday grab bag. After some general laughs, and claims that Pajama guy was weird, they moved onto other topics and continued to socialize.

As they finished having some appetizers and couple of drinks, three other people that they know show up. After a few minutes of chatting they all agreed to go to this other place that has pool tables, darts and other games, to play and have more drinks. Pajama says he has never been there before, and asked if it was close by. Friend #3 says yep, its a couple of blocks away, too which friend#1 says, as he grabs Pajama guys shoulders, these are flannel, they will keep you warm for the walk, and they all laugh, as they pay the bill and walk out the door.

it was an interesting evening.
