I am going to Uni next year, tell me your guys experience with sex etc at uni or college.

My (American) roommate and I discovered pretty early that we slept naked. It wasn't a sexual thing; it was more like two freshmen discovering they weren't the only ones. One thing that may interest you, is that every university I have attended had a cruise bathroom. Some had several.

So, if you don't know what that is..it's a bathroom on campus that people meet at to jerk off with another guy, or engage in some other way. Stress relief, working out curiosity, whatever. But, as I said, every school I went to had one.

There is a really amazing cruising site called Squirt that shows locations where stuff like that happens.

Uni was forty years ago--long before the net, smartphones and social media existed. PCs were rare. You were lucky to have your own typewriter. I wasn't in a dorm but those that were didn't even have landline phones in their rooms.

What you have to look forward to is getting out from behind whatever device & social media apps you use to meet and socialize with real people in person. Make friends and get dates the old-fashioned way: talk to people.

I’m at an English university atm and (COVID aside) the sexual atmosphere varies a lot between the universities, generally the better the uni the more they work you hard and so the party/sex culture is less. My advice would be to join a sports team and be confident, send me a message happy to chat with more stories/details.

defo join a sports team even if it’s something you've never done before (ultimate frisbee isn’t a sport). Socials vary depending on the sport, but they are a decent way to meet folk and put yourself out there. The rugby and football teams gave me ample opportunity to put myself out there.
When I started I was very confident with my skills so tended to look more for people to match those which often meant looking outside the Uni pool and more in the bars of the city, although dipped in from time to time.

Honestly it’s the time to be completely open to new experiences. Give everything you fancy a shot, even if doesn’t stick. Join sports and societies, experiment, be wild – and just do enough work to get a decent degree but no more than that

I’d never been with a guy before I went to uni – first week I was there I met a guy on my corridor who was a rugby player like me. We went out drinking, talking about girls etc, and ended up back at his room, ended up doing a bit of gay chicken, showing each other our cocks, and one thing led to another and suffice to say I had to sneak out his room the next morning Zero regrets, and suffice to say both our eyes were opened.

The great thing about uni is that most people are just finding themselves out, just like you, so plenty of chance to make mistakes or take a wee risk without the world falling in or too much judgment.

(Oh, and don’t be the person with a gf/bf back home you claim to be devoted to – everyone hates that person and it usually doesn’t last beyond Fresher’s Week.)

That’s very true…. And further than that don’t be the person that goes home every weekend… I’m not saying ditch your family and run… but embrace your new world and make it your home, if your constantly going back home to fuck or get your washing done, your hearts gonna be there and not in your new place so it becomes to easy to see Uni as temporary and you may also then apply that to friendships and relationships you may start….

Definitely – fine to go back home two or three times a term if you feel like it, but the people who went home all the time never got the full uni experience. Same with staying in your home city and living at home – you might be at uni technically, but you’re not really at uni in a meaningful way.

I'm gay but I've always tended to be friends with straight guys (and bi girls for some reason). More than half of my close male friends are in varsity sports or ROTC, which is funny given I've never been a particularly jock-ish guy.

There's been a few of them who I figured were closeted gay or bi, and most of them have come out since, at least to me. But a surprising number of my friends who are definitely straight have told me they'd fool around with me and probably enjoy it. Not sure if it's something about me, or something about the guys I tend to get close to, or if it's just common for straight guys in college, but it's happened a lot more than I would expect.
