Getting hard is just that, if you feel it's too noticable and the situation is compromising (work meeting or school run...) just tuck it under the belt/waistband.
If you are in a swimming pool, wrestling, training... or generally doing some physically demanding activity, don't bother, and if it happens naturally, don't over think it, is more to do with you feeling self-conscious than anything else.
