OMG is a real Women's Fucking Issue

So, am i the only one who gets these constantly? This is the downside to being small and having a girthy man (friction and all). This tends to happen when we have sex frequently, never when we do it infrequently. I've battled these from sex for like 15 years, eventually had bladder/urethra surgery to help all for no good reason. Guess im going to have to try to get in with the doc tomorrow.

Ugh, now excuse me while i go *try* to pee again.

Cranberry pills work wonders. I had 13 bladder infections in a year and they put me on a 6 month round of drugs to combat it. It hasn't come back since. I had to see a specialist though.

They suck, I empathize with you. *hugs*

Oh girl, I feel for you. I had a bad one a couple months ago. No sex for years then sex like crazy for a week over Christmas break left me with a doozy. I hope you find a way to clear it out. Has your hubby ever been treated with antibiotic the same time you are? They can be carriers sometimes.

I had a girl that used to get these but the problem was mostly cleanliness, I think. Peeing after sex is the most important thing and take a shower before and after, this should be the best way to keep it away until you get over it and then just shower and pee after every time and it shouldnt be an issue.

Always urinate after you have sex. Try putting a tsp of apple cider vinegar in a glass of juice every day. Sorry I know it sucks...feel better!

actually, I don't understand the connection between a bf with a big'un, and UTI's. and I'm not stupid, I'm in mensa and made it to senior year in vet school. Would someone care to explain the connection?

She obviously wasn't trying to make that exact connection. This is a women's issues forum, not a women's issues strictly related to big dicks forum.

because the girth makes his cock rub up against the urethral opening very hard, pulling it all over the place giving it access to all sorts of lovely things. This isnt a cleanliness issue, for some it might be but for me its not. Genitals have germs regardless how much you wash up. For centuries people never showered- let alone before or after sex and many of them never had bladder issues. i've known people who never bathe and never get bladder infections and then there are people like me who are scrupulously clean and still get them.

Some women are more prone than others. My genitals are very small, close together and when penetrated, have to make way for it a lot more than most.

I can probably attribute this one to not peeing after sex a couple of times this week. I should know better but i have a hard time going afterwards but it looks like i'll have to make it happen.

the more stretch, friction and strain you put on a peehole, the more likely you are to open it up to irritation and infection.

never once had it until i lost my virginity.

went away completely once i returned to a celibate life.

also, i passed the mensa entrance exam.
which just goes to show what a worthless boast it is.

I have been suffering with bladder and urinary tract infections for as long as I can remember. It is the worst pain! I don't get it - done a lot of reading, I do eveything right, and they still happen. Sooo frusterating. I finally got a referral to a urologist and am on the waiting list. Interested to see if it is a physical abnormality.
I do think penis size has something to do with it though....my new boyfriend is larger than average and I've already had two in the 6 months we've been together.

It took a specialist to see what my issue was. There was sediment in my bladder that wasn't getting expelled.

Hope they figure out your problem.

DW has had problems with this (UTIs), and I hate it for her. No fun at all.

Question: Have any of you made a connection between UTIs and certain positions? We don't avoid them completely, but we're careful and somewhat judicious with rear entry positions because she thinks the back-to-front movement sends more potential pathogens from hole to hole (I really tried to find a nicer way to put that...).

Not too long ago, she had what seemed like a UTI even though we'd not had sex in recent days. I wouldn't wish that one anybody, but I was sorta relieved to know I couldn't have been responsible.

I know you said it's not a cleanliness issues, but if it were both you and your husband would want to be clean before sex. I heard once that men give the infections to women, but maybe that is not accurate.

Other people said to pee after sex. Maybe you can drink a large glass of water right before or after so you can pee a lot soon afterward.

In any case, good luck and I hope you find a solution! :flowers1:

just so you know, men are not immune to UTI's. I had one once in college, when I was stressed out and immunosuppressed.
