@Fotographer001 sticks aren't meant for long term storage. For storage, use an external hard drive. You can fit unbelievably huge amounts of data for $35 (U.S) on Amazon.

My sister-in-law stored her Ph.D. research and thesis on a stick and lost all of it. Also, I've had sticks break.

Once upon a time things were stored and uploaded via floppy's, then discs now sticks.

So, does the stick have to be hard or soft when you insert it to save, upload, download...or unload.

I mean, this question surely would have been placed on a Geek site first before asking LPSG about sticks. Perverts like myself would immediately associate sticks with dicks...

Ok...ok, I'm a geek at heart. Truly, all USB sticks are basically the same. Made in the same place. Buy from a local computer store, not the larger ones. You are able to ask questions, get feedback without the annoying background music, and they are happy to talk with you, ( as a matter of fact...you have to actually say several times...gotta go..) even though you are not there to spend a million dollars.
