I want to join a couple of gay adult sites. How safe am I using my credit card to pay for the site. They all ask for a billing address. As I'm married, I don't want my address given out and start receiving gay porn junk mail at home.

What has been your experience in using CC to join porn sites. thanks

You won't be getting any snail-mail stuff at home.
There will be charges on your credit card, obviously.
It's never clear from what appears on the credit card that the charges are from an adult site ... but if your spouse sees these ambiguous charges on your credit card statements, you might have some explaining to do.
If your spouse never sees those statements, then I think you're in the clear.

No problems at all. I've joined 4 and quit 2 of them after a while, never a problem. I do use a card that I only use for this purpose and if I order something mainstream (like a cell phone battery or something) from an online store that I haven't done biz with before. The info on your CC statement is completely vague which may not be a good thing...they almost beg you to ask "WTF is that???" But I'm single so nobody else sees my statements.

The sites I've done biz with are Sean Cody, TommyDxxx, Corbin Fisher and Randy Blue. Left TommyD and Corbin with no problems. Almost left Sean Cody but during the cancellation process they offered me a cheaper rate to stay on so I did.

They never send snail mail to your address. They just want your address to verify the CC number you give them.

Interestingly enough, I did get a CC number stolen years ago and used on a porn site. When I called the card issuer to ask what the charge was for, I was told it was for "adult website services" or some such. I canceled that card and was issued a new number and have never had a problem since.

Mainstream sites use the same safeguards "over-the-belt" retail outlets use. Your money is mostly safe.

Simply avoid using a card with a high available credit on it.

The main problem will be the transaction record as you are married. Most of the time, the transaction will show under a generic name (e.g. "CCBill", not "gayfootslave.com") but will also list a toll-free number to call for billing questions...and I am sure you married an intelligent woman so...

Even if the credit card is only under your name, she may inadvertently open the statement.

One way to circumvent that is to use a really mainstream site that caters to both gay and straight markets. You may want to tell her that you have lesbian twins fantasies and joined that site to fulfill them.

The CC transaction does not mention what particular products you bought.

Ooops!

I nearly forgot the computer "evidence"...

Evidence of your play will be all over your computer...Depending on what software you use, you could have hundreds of tell-tale files.

Using the browser's delete history is only the tip of the iceberg.

I remember once trying to purge my personal laptop ahead of a big presentation for work (my work laptop was out of commission).

A savvy friend helped me with obscure cache files and just when I was ready to pat him of the back and shutting down Windows...it occurred to me to look into the Recycle bin, which had ALL the evidence conveniently centralized.

:biggrin1:

I am glad there is DiscreetWare out there for bad horny boys these days.

I find it baffling that anyone actually pays for online porn.

If it's just that you like the sleazy feeling of handing over money, then pm me for my paypal details.

I would in the unlikely event you met the very highly selective criteria I set for online pornography,

If you are a guy, even one with a hot full-time partner at home, you must know that sometimes you're horny and there is nobody around to satisfy your desires.

So-called free porn, which I used to rely on, is not free, unless you're idle, your time has no economic value, and you can get off to a mere bad photograph or short, poor-quality clip.

Some people have higher standards than others, different sexual needs, different economic means.

Vive la différence!

I totally agree. My time is way too valuable to waste downloading 30 sec snippets of shitty porn when i can pay a teensie bit of cash for a full-on, nasty visual experience that actually has folks I wanna watch fucking!

To help protect myself, I play with the first and last name fields on the signup page by entering different names that begin and end with the same characters and have similar character lengths. I also play with the address and phone number fields.

Example if my real name and billing address are:

Michael Jackson
8342 S 117th St
California, Long Beach 90745

I'd enter this information instead:

Michelle Johnson
8396 S 115th St
California, Long Beach 90745

You'd be surprised at how easy these Credit Card processors accept bogus information. I also only signup with sites that process CC information over a secure connection and offer easy and transparent cancellation such as CCBill, Verotel and Epoch. Sean Cody, Corbin Fisher, College Dudes 24/7, Blake Mason, UK Naked Men, Fratmen TV and Playgirl are good examples. Naked Straight Guys has a good list of gay adult sites too.

I give all my Full details as i have a card where the $ have to be in there first anyway.
Would not dream of using/having a card with ooos of $ in it.
IF the site is using such as cc-bill i dont think theres so much of a problem
fr inst,,join a 3 day thingo .. and cancel 2/3 hours later..they have to honor the 3 days you have paid for...
-usually these have a little hidden Bullshit thing that says something like
'your card will be charged per month
recurring at 39-95$pm.
UNLESS you CANCEL yr Subscription..ASSHOLES
ANyway the couple of times i have done this..i cancel/ then WRITE to cc-bill and ask them to CONFIRM (doubly) its cancelled
As for the Statement and whats written on it..well Pre Pay makes sense

Sorry, but my heard just collapsed out of the sheer depressing horror that you've tried to prtend you pay for porn because you're so succesful!

Buying porn is bad enough in the first place but that reasoning makes it ten times worse!

I've had one bad experience, I joined cumondagny.com and when I tried to cancel my membership the link on the site didn't work. (how convenient, for them). I sent them repeated emails to cancel my membership but never heard anything back (how convenient, again, for them). I ended up switching banks and canceling that card, that was the only way I could stop the reoccurring monthly fees.
