I've seen women in the men's room as few times especially at big public events. Not big deal to me now . The first time I was a little surprised. It was in 1970 and I was doing the Grand Tour of Europe after graduating high school. The women weren't using the men's room but the attendants were all women and they were there all the time. While standing at the urinal the attendant came over to clean the urinal beside me. Somewhat unsettling for a 17 year old kid who had lead a somewhat sheltered life. But it was the nicest, cleanest washroom I've ever been in.

Lately most of the floorplans I've seen for new buildings have larger women's rooms. About time.

It's been pointed out that men's rest rooms have as many stalls as women's despite it taking longer for us to pee, I've been in the men's room many a time in nightclubs, when I've been drinking there's no way I'm going to wait in a huge queue when I desperately need to go. Most of the men seem to treat it as an amusing foible although none of the toilets I've been in have had troughs so I never got to see men with their dicks in their hands, maybe if they'd been caught in this position they might have viewed it differently.
Up to my son being 7 or so I would always take him in the lady's rest room with me, and if my husband took my daughter out he was always under instructions that no matter what anyone said he was to go to the ladies with her, perverts can be of either gender.

...this guy behind me yells out "Hey, you!" I kinda jump and turn around without thinking, and he's standing there holding out his penis and says "Is this what you came in here for?"

OH HEEELLL NO!!! I would have been like "Sorry, I didn't know they served cocktail weenies in men's restrooms?"

Shut that bastard right up.

Whaaaaaaa! :banghead2:

I'm probably going to fry for this one but, hey what the hell.

A good friend of mine, who happens to be lesbian, used to work security for a dyke bar. A couple of friends and I went to visit her and have few drinks. Well, it came time to take a whiz and I went to the room with letters "MEN" on the door. It was filled with moss back dykes. I started for the urinial to relive myself and you would have thought the end of the world was coming. I got slammed up against the wall and told I was not supposed to be in that room. They threatened calling the police I handed them my cell phone, turned around and pissed. They in fact did call the police they showed up, and they were told to leave the "MENS" room that they were in violation of the law. Finally, sweet justice.

Now, before I completely get slammed for using the word dyke... nah, slam me.. I can take it!
LMAO :D

i like that story!

Now see there is the double standard again, in spite of the perverts... I see absolutely nothing wrong with Fathers doing their job with their children boys or girls. Why do you take your son to the womens room and then instruct your husband, to take your daughter to the womens room. There are stalls in the mens room with doors that lock.
If you're concerned about the perverts then I personally think your 'cutting' your son loose at 7 was way to early to fend for himself. How about that?

Heres the best thing to do. Something that has I find that is missing in todays society. USE YOUR HEAD. COMON SENSE. AND MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS. Three things that should be taught by parents on a daily basis. Oh yeah, and I'll catch hell for this too. If they, your children, act up and do something wrong, tear that ass up! I'm still alive and I got spanking's when I needed them and, sometimes I thought I didn't need it, but I'm greatful for the ones I got. Don't let your kids dictate to you the rules. You're the partent.
Now I know I went a little off the thread and, I'm sorry but, I get so damned angry when people go on on tangents when simple solutions are right in front of them staring them in the face.

re Oh just remembered, there’s this one time in a bar, I went into the men’s toilet, there were 3 urinals (more like a trough) and a stall. The stall was in used, and I went to pee in the trough, it was empty so I was just standing right in the middle.

About 2 seconds later, this really drunk girl came rushing in the loo and she couldn’t wait to go, but since the stall was taken, I thought she will just have to wait, but NO!

She rush over to the right of me, her backside facing the trough, she pulled her jeans down to her thighs and bent over, and all of a sudden, a big splash of urine just came shooting at the trough, it was splashing everywhere, and standing right next to her I was almost contaminated, but I was quick to dodgy all the way to as far left I can get while peeing.

She was splashing all over the place and I saw majority of it just went rushing down to her jeans. She must have been so trashy, she thought she was doing a good job and commenting on herself how talented she was, after she was done she just pull up her jeans and without even washing her hands or her clothes for that matter, she just walked straight back out to the bar.

When I went outside, I saw her dipping her hands into the nuts & chips, and having her hands around all these guys standing around by the bar…..

If only they know what she’s just been up to…GROSS! Some women are so inconsiderate when they use the men’s room!!!

Public facilities should be required to supply twice as many women's restrooms as men's rooms. The reason should be obvious.

I'm pretty sure modern building codes provide for this. I do know that both stadia and the large arenas in my town have 2x as many fixtures for women as for men. But they were all built later than 1994.

Back in the day, at the old Cleveland Municipal Stadium the men's restrooms had pee troughs as well as stalls. And there were far fewer women's facilities than men's. I remember that at events where most attendees were male (Browns games in the 80s) you never saw women in the men's rooms. BUT at events with more gender balance (say, concerts) it was not uncommon to see women wait for a turn at the stalls in the men's rooms. I never saw any incidents like the OP describes, but some light-hearted ribbing was given and reciprocated in most cases. The rooms were far too crowded for some drunk to think he could get away with overt harrassment.

As for the OP, I know women like to escort each other to the restroom and all that, but you shouldn't stand around in the room waiting for your friend. Next time when you finish just exit the room immediately (after washing up of course) and wait for your friend by the door.

Men don't wait around in the restroom for their friends to finish up, and some will get suspicious of those who do. Your transgression was not so much being in the room in the first place, it was being in the room when you didn't actually need to use it. Now, the guy who harrassed you was a dickheaded punk, but I can imagine his train of "thought" had something to do with thinking you were there for the show, since you stuck around afterwards.

I'm one of the least modest people I know. I wouldn't have given a 2nd thought to you using the joint, but hanging around afterward? That's a little creepy.

Get all the answers to this quiz (requires Flash) memorized, AND the reasons behind them, then you can use the men's room again. :biggrin1:

Waiting outside the toilets when he's 7 (and an extremely vocal 7) is hardly the same as cutting him loose, and I instructed my husband to go into the ladies room because as I wasn't there to supervise I wouldn't know if the men's rooms were hygenic or the floor covered with piss, hence my telling him to go to the ladies, they're normally cleaner.

The trougths are terrible. I went to a game with my father in-law and had to pee right next to him. With a full bladder, I usually have a pretty good flaccid and it was embarrassing.

But they used to really treat men's rooms like a place for animals rather that with any respect. I usually do not mind showing a flaccid, but at a lot of resturants and bars etc (older places) you take a piss and the next guy leaves and the door opens slowly and then closes slowly with a plain view of my dick in the urnal. There is no way I am going to stand that close, so it is quite exposing. Many women must have this experience - seeing guys take a piss?

I have three daughters who are still in diapers. When the time comes I'll have no problem escorting them into the restroom, but they will always use the ladies'. It will be a while before they know what discretion is, and even though I have no problems answering questions about body parts, the likelihood of a question being posed in a very loud voice, repleat with finger-pointing, is many times higher in a typical public men's room.

So my daughters go to the ladies' where there's much more privacy for the other users. And often a comfy waiting area for Dad!

You're right, this happens a lot at concerts without any harrassment.Tina was unlucky to have met the idiot she describes and I'd say it was something to do with it being a mostly-male attended sports event.
I said in a similar thread a while ago that I go to a club that has unisex and there is never a problem there.

In the UK building codes require 2 doors between a bathroom and any area where food is served/cooked. The double door 'airlock' prevents this kind of thing from happening

3 in diapers? I think some potty training is in order.
