Well it doesnt matter.. My parents raised me with respect.. I dont look at a guys penis through a door.. I simply turn my head if i see a door slightly opened at a mens bathroom...U guys probably didnt expect that comment from me tho lol

It isn't the looking that bothers me with the single doors (but that is very lady-like of you :) ) so much as the hygine part. It is supposed to cut down on (and I'll be as polite as I can about this) airborne particulates moving from the bathrooms to the food.

Strange, but in a gay bar, the best way to go fast is a trip to the gals restroom, esp if you pee shy...
the boys usually have a long line and they tend to stare alot.

Men in the womens room is common place.

LOL!

i guess a gay club is a very different situation.
men in the ladies room are very unlikely to be perving.

Spoiled? Are you kidding? I've been in Men's and Ladies, and I guarantee you, compared to men, women are pigs! And I know why from discussing it with a few girlfriends: They don't want to touch the seat when they pee, so they squat, and it goes all over the place and they're grossed out by that so they don't wipe up and just leave it for the next person. Same thing if they miss the toilet with the tissue - on the floor it goes, and on the floor it stays. Nice. Trust me, your kids are better off in the men's room with Daddy...

But this whole conversation begs the question of why we have single-sex bathrooms in the first place. What is the big deal? Make a big room, put lots of toilets in it, put lots of urinals in it. Put mirrors over the sinks and decent lighting so that women can check their makeup and men can make sure they don't have giant pieces of food caught in their teeth or whatever. Everybody has to pee, everybody has to crap, everybody wants to check their presentation in the mirror. Why are we wasting all this extra plumbing and masonry and drama when the solution (to me, at least) is so obvious.

Perhaps these things go in cycles...thirty-five years ago it was all the rage for women to crash the men's room at horseracing hunt events in Maryland. A woman pissing at the trough with a man right next to her was not at all uncommon, albeit a little offputting for a guy trying to start a stream flowing as his cock started to stiffen!

I must say though, i was recently at a large event and used the excuse of wanting to use the mens room (for the short line up) as a way of asking a cute guy to escort me in there and be my personal security.

If I were ever to try it again, I'd definitely be sure to have a male escort. Lesson learned.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and stories!

I once saw an older guy try to take his daughter maybe even grand daughter (prob 3 years old) into the ladies room at a big leauge baseball game years ago. He got his ass booted by a bunch of women screaming, yelling and even hitting him back out.

I think the main problem with the OP is that she was really timid abt the whole thing. If you're going to chance using the men's facilities, you better feel very comfortable doing it.

The first thing out my mouth in such situations is, "Damn it stinks in here!" If you just complain the entire time, the men get embarrassed and move it along quicker. Which is good b/c I firmly believe that I get to be where ever I want to be and have whatever I want.

Esp. when I need to pee.

It's a matter of economics. When a larger percentage of the crowd is female, they'll spend the money on making more stalls for women. I can see that happening in the future.
Personally, I'd be uncomfortable if I was using a urinal and a woman I didn't know came in there. It's a matter of privacy.

Why do women need twice as much space as men?

Think about it. If men had to sit to pee would there be lines down the hallway, out of the building and into the parking lot? Nope. There'd be twice as many restrooms for them.

Women deserve at least as much consideration.

Ah... Can't we just give them straws and install urinals?
