Brighton Pavilion springs to mind, and of course Brighton has a lot of gay guys so there are lots of gay clubs there, like any little British seaside town it has it's share of history and when you get there if you want to see the historical stuff and attractions there'll be loads of information leaflets at train stations, bus stations and information kiosks.
I haven't been to Brighton since I was a kid so sorry I can't help more.
