How does that all work, by the way??? I have my surgery in April!
Do you need to nut in a cup at the doctors office? How often?
I have to nut in a cup and have it on the counter within half hour. They do not supply a room. Wich kinda sucks because I live over half hour away but I'm super horny thinking about filling my cup in a parking lot or washroom lol! They asked I do this 2 months prior and then again 3 months prior

After the procedure the doctor gave me a specimen bottle and said to bring in a fresh sample after 21 ejaculations, or 3 weeks. After the second day, I got busy to completing the task at hand. One day less than two weeks later I stopped at a gas station restroom a couple blocks from the doctor's office, jerked into the specimen bottle, put it in a paper bag, and took it in. The doctor called later with the "All Clear!" results. Oh, and there was no change whatsoever in texture, color, or volume.

I wrote about in an earlier post that it:
"My doc explained I needed to provide a "fresh" sample, less than 15 minutes old. I lived 20 minutes from the lab which meant I had to deal with it on the spot. I had to request a specimen jar ("which kind?" I was asked in an overly loud voice in a rather full waiting room). I took it to the men's room to discover it was a single stall and the door didn't close well, leaving a nearly 1" gap. So there I was trying to cum in a less-than-private place as guys came in to use the urinal right next to the stall. Very awkward (and this was before cell phones with internet so I didn't even have porn to watch.) It was so uncomfortable I didn't return to do a second verification (the first sample was fine but they suggested I do it twice to be sure."

Mine wasn't bad. I had it done on a Friday and took it easy all weekend. I wore a cup over some tighty whities that were a size smaller than I normally wear for a week. I used frozen peas, corn and mixed veggies and rotated them. I learned the hard way not to towel dry my hair very vigorously. I also took the pain meds to stay ahead of the pain.

The thing that surprised me was at the consultation, before I left the doctors actual office, he had me drop trou so he could check to make sure i had balls I guess. Shaving my balls took forever. Since then I decided I liked for the boys to be bald, and I don't like hair on the shaft.

I got to post the sample in, so privacy of my own home. But I found it hard getting a sample on the day required, without being able to use lube and finishing in a position where it went into the cup.

So I had my procedure on Feb 7th. The surgery itself went great, the doctor, nurse, and I just talked through the whole thing. Gotta say though: lidocane injections are not the most pleasant thing when they're in the scrotum.

I decided to go with boxer briefs (a size smaller than what I would wear) mostly because I've never worn a jockstrap or athletic cup before. Soreness set in pretty quick after the anesthetic wore off so ice packs are highly recommended!

The only parts I wasn't adequately prepared for was the swelling and bruising. I swear my sack easily doubled in size! Made walking a bit awkward, but it happens. I got to rest over the weekend (for the most part, I've got 2 kids under 3) and now, 10 days later, I don't have any soreness, bruising, and I'm back down to my normal scrotal size.

All I need to do now is make sure the pipes are emptied and submit my sample. Cumming feels just like normal and looks the same too.

So helpful - thank you!
I’m in on April 3.

As an update, I ended up having a few issues with the recovery and it turns out my body doesn’t dissolve stitches. Long story short recovery was way longer and required some antibiotics. Not painful but just annoying. As soon as we figured out the stitches didn’t dissolve and were pulled the healing was quick!

Did the scalpel-free procedure.
No pain.
No problems.
Some bruising afterwards. But, no meds or ice packs needed.
Dr said take three days off. I went to work the next day. The gym the day after that.
No change in performance.
Got impatient & tracked down an at-home vasectomy test kit. Got a very definite negative test.
So, it's been game on at the socalfreak / @Snarky_succubus house.
Sex has gotten even better since.
Should've done it sooner.

Mine was easy. I got it done when I was 27. 3 days of taking it easy. Walked 18 holes of golf on the 4th day. Jerked off about 3 times a day for 2 weeks. Got tested and I was done. Not really a big deal.

My experience sucked - had it done in a rural town and what noone mentions is that the vas swells with backed up sperm; 3 days in and it felt like there were 4 testicles in my scrotum. Full panic and the MD kinda chuckled when I got him on the phone...

No amount of frozen peas helped...just had to deal with it until my nuts got the hint I guess. Almost all of my discomfort was from the vas getting all ballooned out. Took quite a bit of feeling around to figure out which was a testicle and which was the swollen vas, but it was better knowing once I figured it out.

It wouldve been so much less stressful knowing about this before hand.

It does seem to me that medics either don't mention, or play down, the temporary negatives of any procedure and concentrate on the long term goal.

You got me intrigued so searched to see if I could find anything scientific in this area. The only thing I found that went into any detail was an old paper: Adaptations of the Male Reproductive Tract and the Fate of Spermatozoa Following Vasectomy in the Rabbit, Rhesus Monkey, Hamster and Rat. My understanding of that, assuming this is applicable to man is as follows:

1. The vas and epididymus have no normal capacity for absorbing sperm. In someone who has not had a vasectomy, in the, usually rare, event we don't ejaculate them they just end up leaking out of the ejaculatory duct and into the urine.

2. When the vas is blocked, as in a closed vasectomy, the sperm start to build and and expand the walls of the vas and the end of the epididymus. To start with that doesn't trigger anything else so these bits just keep getting bigger.

3. Eventually, the walls are stretched to the point it damages the lining. At that point the immune system detects the damage and sends white blood cells to deal with a potential invasion. When they get there they find only sperm and start consuming them. That finally relieves the pressure and the vas and epididymus return to normal size.
