I always bought used older cars when I was younger and didn’t have the money. Then, I bought three new cars. The last three cars I bought were year old ones with low mileage. I don’t put much mileage on my cars, so I figured that was a good way to go and it saves me a lot.

About every 4 years or so.

No. I’ve had white, maroon, blue, silver, green

$3.05 for regular.

I was speeding and got a $200 ticket. The cop said he was chasing me for 2 miles, but I didn’t even realize he was after me. Another time I was driving in the breakdown lane because my exit was coming up and there was a traffic jam. A cop was hiding in the brush. Also, I was accidentally in a lane that could only take a left hand turn, and I didn’t want to, so I veered over into the right lane. A cop was in a McDonald’s parking lot and he got me.

Speeding and tailgating.

I’d like a hybrid the next time I buy.

I speed, I don't wear a belt, on the motorway I drive right up the arse of the car infront when it is going slower than I want to and has clear road in front of it.

I have to have a vehicle that will corner going 45 mph+. That's why I have a Mazda6 i hatchback (4 cyl., 5 speed manual trans). Speed, handling, and significant space for people and luggage, but rather good gas mileage (30+) as well = a great combination.

2 do you buy new or used? Have only bought new since a used car blew up on me (my brother advised me to buy it, but the former owner hadn't changed the oil in years--we didn't catch the discrepancy until the engine blew up on I-40).

3 how often do you change vehicles? When the need arises. Longer than every three years.

4 do you have a favorite vehicle color? Arrest-me-now RED. Close second: sexy-as-hell BLACK. 1990s favorite: DARK GREEN. 1970s and 80s favorite: DARK BRONZE and METALLIC BROWN.

5 how much did gas cost the last time you filled? $2.94/gal @ Costco.

6 how many miles do you drive in a year? At least 25,000. No, that's not a misprint. This has been my average since 1987.

11 do have any bad driving habits? I drive fast (and aggressively), yet courteously. I don't tailgate, and I move over for people coming onto the road. You can usually find me driving as though the interstate were an autobahn: I pass and then move back over to the right-hand lane, even if I'm going 80+ mph.

12 what do you think of hybrids? I'd drive one (and get a license plate like GLTFRESPD or similar) if the cruising range was longer. And if someone would tell me straight up what happens to hybrid drivelines after the cars are taken off the road. I really have never heard anyone talk convincingly about the recycling issues for hybrids.

13 do you prefer to drive or would you rather someone else drive? I definitely prefer to drive. Always. Unless I'm tremendously sleepy.

14 are you a backseat driver? I don't speak, usually. But my body language shows, as when I cringe when the person driving gets too close to another car, etc.
