Don’t come at me. I’m posting here because it’s a place to vent.

Am I the only one totally fatigued by cancel culture?
Since when is having a different opinion enough to ruin your career or reputation?
I feel like charges of racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. are thrown around like weapons. If someone doesn’t like me because I’m not straight, my usual response is “fuck them”. I get on with my life. They get on with theirs. If I want to beat my dick like it owes me money to hot East Asian guys, it doesn’t change their life.
I also feel like every time it’s pointed out regardless of someone’s race or ethnicity t singles them out unfairly and it’s all people focus on. For example, Kamala Harris - I almost entirely disagree with all her political beliefs. I don’t hate her. I disagree. Every article I read is “first black” and “first Asian”. How does that help us? She’s a politician who ran for an office and won it. We are AMERICANS. We are a melting pot. The notion of “representation” to me is being overdone. I DO NOT agree with whitewashing - it pissed me off so bad when I watched Street Fighter Legend of Chun Li and she was played by a white woman. How do you fuck that up?! Or even today, Dr. Rachel Levine was confirmed. She’s transgender. Who cares? She’s a doctor. She’s brilliant by virtue of her background. Make our country better however you can from where you are now that you’re there!
This spills over into every aspect of life now. Diversity is important as long as it comes with ability. I don’t care what someone’s Title IX qualifications are. I care if they can do the task or skill they are employed to perform.
Am I alone? I don’t feel racism etc. is so widely prevalent as it once was and that the woke mob is taking over. All EVERYONE wants is to be respected for who they are. It’s all EVERYONE deserves, too.
When someone is TRULY racist, sexist, or homophobic, etc., throw the fucking book at them, but, don’t accuse people of being something they aren’t simply if they disagree with you.
