I would think if you just want to understand the physical sensation, you could find some time when you will be alone and undisturbed, and use a dildo ?

Make sure you use plenty of lubricant, and take your time. Wait until the body is really relaxed enough - don't force it to a particular pace ( assume it might take 20-30 minutes or so to get it in, for a first timer, even if using a basic realistic size like 6 inches or so ).

You may or may not find that using "poppers" - amyl nitrate - helps relax you/loosen you up, but if you're new to that too, I'd recommend doing one thing at a time. It also increases the intensity of your own orgasm if you'll be masturbating at the same time, though some men find it makes it more difficult to sustain an erection.
